You're right, he only recruited basically every starter and has been playing a lot of them since they were freshmen and sophomores because of the holes Long left. Oh, and Parker is mostly running Rees' offense with a few wrinkles of his own.
But yeah, there's no Rees fingerprints in the current situation.
Not downplaying Stuckey and Deland's contributions, WRs have looked much better since Stuckey took over, and RBs haven't missed a beat.

Just kidding. I agree with a lot of your points. I think a lot of heat Rees gets around here relates to his playcalling, which at times could be poor (see, e.g., Navy second half 2022 and the decision to have Buchner throw inside the 10 against USC in the bowl game last year). And people's frustration with that seeps over to other elements of his coaching, hence the grenades tossed his way.

I was a HUGE Rees basher, but right now I can't say for sure Parker is better. So far he has done great against tomato cans, this is the first real test.
Well Rees figured out a way to lose to Marshall and Stanford.

Yet more proof of what a genius he really is.

There’s no way any of us schmucks could have come up with game plans to lose to both those teams last year.

And that's fair. Can't expect every OC to be perfect a few years in and dealing with the roster limitations we had. Won a lot of games though, and managed to knock off a #1 team. He's got one more win against Clemson under his belt than Ohio State has in their entire program's history.

I like the way Parker talks. He reminds me of Nicholas Cage.

He’s starred in some of the best action flicks of the last 40 years

He’s been in so many movies, some terrible, some awesome, and a lot in between
Any decent movie he has been in has been despite of him. Example, the rock is made by Sean Connery. Replace cage with anyone and the movie is still good. Not one movie was made better by his "acting".

This is sounding like ND fans opinion of Parker.

It takes a lot to rattle my Cage. My first and probably only downvote.
I have yet to hear anyone walk out of a movie and say "thank goodness Nicolas Cage was in that. Without his acting that would have been a stinker". Don't confuse decent plot lines with good acting.

He was perfect in Gone in 60. Con Air and The Rock were so good you could probably exchange him out. He does have some bad movies too.

You can say that about 95% of actors

You, sir... have never seen Pig.
