for those interested the AWARDS BANQUET will be streamed on Watch ND

I hope they get this right this time. They have major technical issues every time they do a major live stream like the banquet or signing day.

Wasn't there a fire alarm last year and everyone had to evacuate the building?

Fuller=MVP --- as usual, Coach has it exactly right. Will is the one guy we have who bends the opposition out of shape just on his own. HYPER-valuable. {some people have said that we might be better if he goes NFL --- not in any universe that I can imagine.}

Coach doesn't pick MVP.

The MVP is the only player selected award. The coach picked the rest. The coach got all of it right, including not giving Fuller a lesser award.

Toughest decision had to be "Next Man In" award. Like eight guys on the ballot.

Does Hoge winning scout team MVP mean he'll likely be starter next year or is that just because Mustipher wasn't on scout team per se?

I assume the latter but it does make me think there might be more of a battle next summer. Apparently Hoge is making big gains in the weight and strength department.

It should have been a co-winner situation with both CJ and Josh.

I would say that CJ probably had a head start on Josh and Deshone as he had to make the switch before spring and then be thrust into the lead role two series into the first game. Its great we can have this discussion though. Tough call really. I loved Josh's season. Deshone was amazing too.

Schilling Makes the Call: Notre Dame - Irish Sports Daily Didn't see this anywhere else so I put it here.

Congratulations, I doubt there's an ND student with more legacy ties. He's got at least a dozen.

father, grandparents, eight aunts and uncles attended Notre Dame, and for good measure, his mother attended St. Mary’s

Turned down offers for Harvard and Yale ... bright lad!

Listed at 6-1 197, his photo makes him look Reggie Ho size. For reference an NCAA football is supposed to be 10.5 to 11.5 inches in length. His waistline looks smaller.

I look forward to seeing him succeed on the field and in the classroom.

Notre Dame Stadium rated best college football experience in the country
The University of Notre Dame’s Notre Dame Stadium rates as the best college football experience in the country--and Compton Family Ice Arena and Notre Dame Stadium rank sixth and 13th, respectively, in terms of stadium experience among all NCAA, MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS and NASCAR facilities.

The rankings were published last week by Stadium Journey, a magazine and Web site that annually reviews sports stadiums around the world. The rankings are meant to rate which stadiums provide the best overall game day experience for fans—taking into account food and beverages served, neighborhood, fans, overall atmosphere, parking, traffic, restrooms and overall return on investment.

In addition, Notre Dame’s Purcell Pavilion has been rated ninth nationally by LawnStarter in its listing of the “greenest” college basketball arenas in the country.

“Going to a game at Notre Dame Stadium is an iconic experience that every college football fan should take part in. Built in 1930, Notre Dame Stadium seats 80,795 for football. The stadium has been the home to nine of the 11 teams that have won the National Championship for Notre Dame, including in the stadium’s inaugural season. The stadium has a classic bowl shape and there are few bad seats in the place. Recent expansions have done little to detract from the game day experience here. Touchdown Jesus is still visible from parts of the upper areas of the stadium, even with the new scoreboard.”
