So, are they eligible to play or is BK just being forthcoming? That once the season is over, their release is granted?

Yeah it sounds like he is trending the other way on it. Doesn't want another situation where as young scholarship QB couldn't be relied upon because he wasn't getting reps with him I think.

Writing seems to be on the wall that Hendrix won't be back, which is a reverse from where I thought it was trending previously.

I think a good bet is Hendrix following Chuck to Miami of Ohio for his 5th year, and we going into next season with Golson, Zaire, Kizer and a walk-on.

I get your point I guess for me the big takeaway is that we are actively talking about the change and to expect a decision in pretty short order (2 weeks).

Q: Quarterback-wise, would you have a preference of having four on scholarship for next season or do you think you can get by with three? I'm specifically asking, do you bring back an Andrew Hendirx or Luke Massa for that emergency option, or does somebody like (freshman) Rashad (Kinlaw) serve in that capacity?

BK: I think four quarterbacks on scholarship is heavy. But circumstances sometimes put you in that position, and the circumstances might be that you've inherited quarterbacks that have scholarships already. But if you're working through a natural progression, three and a preferred walk on would suit me just fine.

I thought this response was interesting. I think we say goodbye to Hendrix.
