How is Texas beating us? I don't get it. They haven't been in the national scene really, since 2009. Is it just the state of Texas?
2005 and 1970 were their two last BCS titles.

1970 wasn't a BCS title... and ND's last title was 88... UT has great location, a HUGE alumni base (I think the biggest in the country right??)... which really speaks to this ranking more than anything I suppose.

... really, when you think about it, there isn't really anything UT doesn't have (compared to others), not sure any other program in the country can say that...

Good: Defense seemed to be forcing a lot of turnovers
Bad: Offense seemed to turn the ball over a lot

Russell really has improved his tackling / hitting tremendously from the CB position. Excited to see the tandem of him and Cole Luke next year.

It's scary (awesome) to think about how good Jaylon could be before his time at ND is over.

Earlier this year (BYU game, I think) Mike Mayock called him one of the best corners in the country. High praise.

Loved seeing Jaylon and Max get hyped after Jaylon's pick.

Can't wait to see that on the field.

I liked the Dec 19th practice report, too.

I can't observe or listen to this guy (Kerry Cooks) without being impressed. And his comment "Before I made suggestions, now I make decisions," made my day.

There was some real defensive flying. I am watching the game to see if the defense is a bit simplified, and they let the dogs run.

Some real athletic displays on the tape too.

I have to laugh about a couple comments earlier this week. You know when there is no tackling the offensive guy always wins. Looked a little different yesterday with hitting, didn't it?
