I think Trump is pissed he got suckered in too far by Israel and is pushing back blaming them for the obvious stupidity of what was no doubt sold as a two week foray into the sandbox to give Iran what for. Being played and being a puppet are not the same thing.

I don't think he is anyone's puppet and much less a puppet than 95% of politicians out there. The hilarity of whining about him as a "puppet" after Biden was the most literal puppet of all time is classic liberal projection.

Sure, semantics. All I know is that Israel is getting its way, bombing and destroying Lebanon as it wishes and Trump can't stop it and that is fucking up any chance for a true peace accord so IDGAF what you call it but he's being played and controlled and it's sad.

I mostly agree. I believe that the @#% POTUS can't be controlled by anyone, he's too egocentrically deranged for that. He's like a mine-field. You "play" with him at great risk. But he's so stupidly narrow on just his own ego that you CAN make certain plays. Netaneyu managed to pull off a doozy. Israel COULD have done something like the Nuke Raid themselves (they have before), but at greater personnel cost, whereas we lost almost nothing but expensive materials. Israel now is playing its own game just beyond the reach of the dud-headed monster so that he's stuck with a constant thorn in the negotiation's side. If he can't focus on that, and grow a pair where it comes to Israel, then he max's out the Persian Gulf issues (whether he gets a phony "peace plan" or not.) Brilliant non-thinking backed by cabinet incompetents. He is of course impossible to predict, but my guess is the announcement of some kind of alleged peace plan which opens the strait. It will claim to have some nuke element in it, but that will be ineffective at best. It will claim to have something about Iran-supported terrorism in it, but that will be totally ineffective. Nevertheless, the actual opening of the Strait will be painted with other lies and a great victory will be declared, and deranged man will turn his attention to naming things after himself and having his portrait on every possible thing ... because, you know, I deserve it.

The conclusion that our government agreed with, is that this was a case of mistaken identity. Israel publicly apologized and paid compensation to the families and for the ship. Like those that still believe the moon landing was staged, there are those that don't believe it was an accident. That will never change.

You're the guy who has been pretty consistent in criticizing posters when they bring up Biden or Obama saying that's in the past, yet you bring up something that occurred almost 60 years ago?

I'm bringing up something much more tragic then Biden stumbling in a debate or Obama conceding too much to Iran via the JCPOA.

This was a deliberate and heinous act and Israel was hoping there would be no survivors. I don't care what the government says - Isn't that the point you guys keep making on here? That you can't trust governments.

I don't care how long ago it was and again, I say it showed Israel's true nature. I also don't think a lame duck Congressman is going to waste his time meeting with US soldier survivors and telling their story in session if it were a waste-of-time conspiracy theory.

Pretty much the response I expected. Thanks for playing.

Blowing up gangs and cartels is way more important to our country than Iran ever will be.

Trump with a massive L with Iran. The cost of war and with the US taking on the bill to reconstruct Iran. Seems dumb to blow shit up only to pay to fix it later. What have we gained besides more debt and Iran upgraded buildings? I have a house Trump can blow up if that means I can rebuild on his dime.

That is what a biden peace deal would have looked like if he ever started a war

The anger that this may actually be a good thing for the US. Crying, whining, complaining.

We'll have to see on this, but it seems like a W. No nukes, no SMGs is a W.

It's a worse version of the same deal Obama had in place that Trump tore up.

Conservatives cried for years about Obama funding terrorists with the JCPOA. Now Trump is going to sign something that will give Iran 3x as much money and it's a W? lol

Wait - war in Middle East isn't easy? At least we can count on all those neo-cons to support the SAVE Act...oh wait.

Not surprised at all. Iran still wants to control the strait and fired upon a ship outside of Iranian waters.

Good luck to your Iranian national team moving fwd in the WC.
How much more do you think we’ll have to spend to open the strait that was open before this administration stepped in dog shit?

Sure glad we elected the no new wars guy instead of Kamala. She was going to get us into a war with Iran!
