Pacing back and forth as he decides retirement, Brett Favre accidentally completes Redskins conditioning test.

Reported by a local television station, KSTP, at 2:51 PM CDT:

"Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress said he has not heard from Brett Favre about reports of the quarterbacks' decision not return to the Vikings. Childress made the comments at a press conference Tuesday."

He should retire, already! With enough notice so the Vikes could develop Tavaris Jackson - one "?" mark since he's had some experience, Sage Rosenfels - two "?" marks just to place him slightly ahead of Joe Webb with three "?" marks. Not to mention using a draft pick. They coulda got Clausen!

As in previous years, he is holding the franchise hostage. You can't go get a replacement because his feelings will be hurt (see Packers).

Wouldn't be surprised if he leaked this in order to make it seem even more triumphant when he finally returns. Let's start the chorus of the "Brett just plays with a boyish love for the game...just the way the game is meant to be played."

As a Bears fan, I hated playing him, but I respected him. The last 3 years have obliterated that respect.

He needs something to hold onto. It's comparative to a mid-life crisis, except more of the 2/3 life crisis.

It is obvious he wants more money. Maybe that will change his mind. An extra 3 million will sway him from retirement?

If he DOES decide to play here's what I wouldn't mind seeing:
First series - Tosses a pick six.
Second series - Fumbles a snap that's scooped up for a TD.
Third series - Screws up a hand off to Peterson, also picked up and taken for a TD.
Fourth series - Called for intentional grounding on a third and five, punt returned for a TD.
Fifth series - Gets taken down for a twenty yard loss and is knocked senseless.*
Sixth series - On the bench.
After the game he announces his REAL retirement.

With such a dismal performance that leads to an embarrassing loss, everyone – Childress, Ziggy Wilf, his teammates and deluded fans – agree that it's time for him to drop the pads and pick up the fishing pole for good. C'est fin. Es todo. Sayonara.

*(Perhaps this should read "Gets some sense knocked into him.")

New creepy rumors about Favre are circulating the web:

He allegedly sent lewd photos of himself by phone to Jenn Sterger, very popular to male sports fans because she's a hot chick in sports, much like Erin Andrews.
