PJ and Leonard being listed here is good.

And Banks since he’s coming off foot surgery. Any word on Okwara?

Prister raving about Harrison Leonard in his post practice podcast. Ther ball comes off his foot the same way everytime...the good way.

Doerer was 4-7, Leonard 5-5.

Random comment: Lea's statement on linebackers (and altering their pattern from the Tranquill-Coney gang's read and outplay it method), featured instead strategic ram the scrimmage-line concepts. Somewhat hidden in there, I think, was his comment about regularly crashing Bilal.

This is what he did with Morgan. Morgan was a big physique and athlete but not very intuitive. So too Bilal. Lea max'd Morgan's utility by having him crash and disrupt as much as he could. Lea seemed to really like the vision of Bilal blasting a gap without needing much "feel" for the play.

I hadn't seen this strategic comparison (Lea didn't make it; just me) before reading Lea's comments. Smart. Able to mold a defense to fit the available pieces, even if somewhat outside the box. If Bilal's good at being essentially another rush DLineman (Clemson used to do it a lot with that crazyman Boulware) , then we might just roll upfront more than I guessed.

The Kmet news is a kick in the nuts. Apparently landed awkwardly while attempting to catch a pass in the redzone. Hopefully it's only a "few week" or "few day" injury and not a season ender.

Sounds like the OL had a great day today. The only DL that was able to penetrate was Okwara. He beat both Hainsey and Eichenberg at least once each. Driskell said its not that the DL was bad, the OL was just really good.

Any word on how Brock Wright and Tommy Tremble have looked so far? I remember reading positive buzz in the spring, so maybe they can soften the blow of losing a potential stud like Kmet.

Multiple people mentioned Brock looked great today and made good "chain moving" grabs.

Very positive today for Wright and good for Tremble. Both made some good plays. Takacs is the guy that needs to step up now if Kmet is out for a bit.

II Instant Analysis:
Drew White and Asmar Bilal were starting Mike and Buck LB's respectively
Said that Okwara is on another level athletically. Could not be stopped by any of the tackles.
They don't believe it to be severe, but Gilman also went out with an injury after a collision with Jafar. Gilman remained on the sideline throughout the rest of the practice.

And we've been hearing good things about Tremble but from what I understand he's a glorified receiver, not a end of the line guy like Kmet and Brock (more-so Brock).

Hopefully they can compliment each other well to make up for this loss.

Stay healthy boys. Damn this one sucks.

Driskell reporting "Donte has been a standout during both open practices."

God, this gets me excited. He's the one player in the secondary I am not completely comfortable with...If he takes a big step up, watch out.

I agree that's excellent news. I had a feeling it was going to be Bracy, but definitely happy to hear Vaughn is bouncing back from the injury and making plays.

If a guy at it his size and length can be a playmaker, this defense is going to be scary good

I'm actually somewhat amazed he wasn't more of a liability last year given he couldn't effectively lift his arm. Big kid who gets to the right spot. Now he's actually got arms and hands so watch out.

Plus he's a natural boundary, right? So that means Pride could also stay at his natural field side.

At least for today, it was Pride at Boundary and Vaughn at field. But I would agree, the above seems to suit each specific skillset better. This is probably more about testing what Vaughn has to the field in case it's needed.

Not surprising that a guy who struggles to keep a kickoff inbounds is having trouble hitting field goals consistently. Hopefully he can hit a few in the first couple games and build on that confidence boost.

I'm not so sure he'll get the chance to even be the kicker at this rate....II (and others) are reporting that Harrison looks like a stud.

Can we really expect Kmet to be ready for Georgia? Yes, that's six weeks healing timeframe, but would he really be ready to take on Georgia DL, CB, and Safeties?
