I'm very excited to see what Jurgen can do for this club. While his hire does not specifically help us in the talent department, hard no to be excited to see what he can do tactically.

well, sad to see Bradley go personally... we will see what happens.

I had come around until he didn't shore up the defense after going up 2-0 in the Gold Cup Final.

Either way, I think it was time for a change on the national scene. I wish Bob well wherever he ends up.

I've wanted Klinnsmen for a while now. I am happy with this hire and excited to see where the US men's team goes in the future. We are currently ranked 30th in the world, not that it matters. lol

We have tumbled along way. I never thought that we should have been 10th but 30th? We got to be better than that.

Just thought everybody should know that ManU is awesome. Rooney with 7 goals this year and they are up 3-0 at the 26 minute mark at Bolton. Glory Glory!

Im late to the party, but i wish we would give our national team coaches some more time to develop. Not sure what Jurgen has to offer, but I hope he is given enough time to implement youth develop and use those players after developing them. I truly think we are a ways off from competing with the world powers, but we do have some talent. Give the man some time

based on what i know....jurgen doesn't really have an impact on youth development. he may have some say in it, but i believe that responsibility falls on claudio reyna. he's our technical director and has introduced the new curriculum to major travel/club teams around the nation.

i do agree, i hope that our soccer governing body does give him time though.

For the record, I like soccer. But there is no way this isn't funny:

The Galaxy-RSL game has been really good. This should be the MLS Cup. I hate the way MLS has their playoffs set up.

Who else is watching El Clasico?

Can't because I don't get those channels. Pissed because I thought it was on ESPN. I would have gone to a bar if I had known, cause this is my favorite game of the year. My family is watching it and I'm getting constant updates from them.

My dad was born and raised in Spain, so growing up we used to follow La Liga big time. We have family on both Madrid and Barcelona, so when I was a kid I used to cheer for both and whoever was doing better that season, they'd be my team. But then when I was 16 I went to Spain, visited Madrid for a weekend, and Barcelona for a couple of weeks. I bonded with my family members there, and I became a Barca fan from then on out. But unlike most Barca fans, I do not hate Madrid - I enjoy watching them play, esp b/c they have so many Spanish national team members on their team, plus Ronaldo is insanely good.

It's been a GREAT couple of years for me with soccer! Spain won the Euro Cup 3 years ago for the first time, Barca has been a top 3 club in the world the past couple of years with the best player in the world (Messi), Spain won its first Worcl Cup this past year, and the Galaxy (my local team) just won the MLS Cup.

Now if the Irish would just be good again, I'd be in sports heaven!

I was watching a little bit of the UNC/UCLA game last night and got to wondering-- what's the deal with Hoover, AL hosting it??? Although, it did look like a pretty good field and stadium. I just thought that was a strange location for the Final 4.

more than a full game clear of the Huns now after today...

:)

no repeats of last year bhoys.... please?

20 points and counting now... lol... though I don't really see this as a good thing for Celtic and Scottish football overall in the long run...

Bump for Team USA's huge historic victory over Italy!

yep... I watched before I left for work... very good win... lots of headlines made today on the international front... that was def. one of them.

Fabian Johnson and Michael Bradley were awesome for the USMNT today, and Altidore and Dempsey worked together perfectly on the goal.

The lineup they played with yesterday was very good. Throw in Donovan and Jermaine Jones a few guys from the U-23 team that weren't there off the bench such as Agudelo. Wow that is one of the best USA teams ever.
