I may be in the minority here, but I think he will beNo. Not all. And is he even great?
Don't disagree with anything here. What's still unresolved with the leaking of information is the chicken vs. egg question: Was he being lazy because he was told he was going to have limited playing time or was he given limited playing time because he was lazy. I can be sympathetic towards a 19 year old kid that gets bad news and isn't mature enough to handle it the right way. But, if he just showed up and was lazy from the jump that really reflects poorly on him.He may be the most technically gifted player on the US roster, but that means fuck all if you aren't gonna try. He's 19 and obviously needs to mature a bit, but from a pure talent prospective there aren't many, if any, that can match up. With how much the USMNT struggles to score goals, this guy needs to be on the field really. However, again, he also needs to the put in the necessary effort.
Exactly. If it's water under the bridge, why the hell is it being brought up again?I’m not sure what concerns me more, Gio being lazy and almost kicked off the team or the report of it all,…

Interested to see if Gregg has his job once his contract is up. I'm guessing not, as they have the talent to do some damage in 3.5 years, and a top tier coach could make a huge difference.
Bolded for me. It also came out there was no player vote at all. Just the technical staff.
AH, didn't know it was originally off the record or at a speaking engagement.According to Berhalter, it was an off-the-record discussion as part of a speaking engagement, and he never named a specific player.
Someone else mistakenly took his comments as on-the-record, and started digging into the issue. Then it blew up.
He must have known it ahead of time, thus wearing the mask to hide his identity from shame.Gvardiol is 20 years old and has had a great World Cup. There are rumors that City and Chelsea are offering in the range of $90-100M for him.
Messi obliterated the poor guy.
City/chelsea is media/agent BS, Madrid bound.Gvardiol is 20 years old and has had a great World Cup. There are rumors that City and Chelsea are offering in the range of $90-100M for him.

Listen, if you haven't enjoyed the transfer rumors about every player that has had a nice 20 minute run of play in this World Cup, there's just no redeeming you.To be fair, everything is media/agent BS until physicals are done and the player is announced. So many deals fall through at the last minute or someone comes in with a late offer...
I think this past summer did it for me. I think a few United fans tallied up how many prospects United were linked with. I believe it was close to 200. It's just insane.Listen, if you haven't enjoyed the transfer rumors about every player that has had a nice 20 minute run of play in this World Cup, there's just no redeeming you.
It's global soap opera stuff for adults, unlike college football recruiting.
It’s hard for me to imagine berhalter sticking around after he came forward publicly with the Reyna stuff. It’s not a good look for him.Has anyone read up on the Berhalter Reyna thing? Sounds like GGG told Reyna early on at WC camp that he wasn’t going to play a major role and Reyna went off. Then GGG told the teams leaders they needed to handle it and that’s ultimately why we never saw Reyna in the games. Literally one of our best players.
