I would say this was the most dramatic world cup day of all time. I think you'd really be hard pressed to find two games (at any point in the tourney) have two late come backs and go into penalties on the same day.

You must be new to soccer?
That was about a 2/10 for international soccer at the WC.

TBF, everytime Messi got the ball in space they just grabbed or kicked him to stop any real flowing soccer.

Argentina was better for 90 of 112 minutes in regulation, better the entire 30 minutes of ET, & better in the Penalty shootout. They deserved to win.

Weghorst couldn’t play a full 90. He is a good sub when everyone is tired & you just need to get the ball in the box.
Argentina literally just needed to control one cross, instead of constantly heading back to Netherlands, and they would have had 3-1 break for an easy 3 goal. It was mad how many times they couldn’t get possession.

That ref is infamous for being the most ridiculous ref in all of soccer. The announcers mentioned it at the beginning, he thinks he is the show & doesn’t control things, he inflames them. He, all by himself, ruined a Champions League Semifinal a few years ago. It was 10 times worse than today.

Grant had been detained before the U.S. opener for wearing a rainbow shirt. (To support his brother).
He was attacked on social media by Qatari’s for supporting gay rights, and his wife is a doctor & said he was 100% healthy.
He was covering the Argentina/Netherlands game, seemingly perfectly fine, then just collapsed out of nowhere & died.
Seems pretty fishy to say the least.

If this turns out to be a murder, they might shut the WC down immediately.

Just to highlight what a difference a coach makes. USA beat Morroco 3-0 in June. Morroco fires coach and replaces with current coach just 180 days before world cup. Morroco now in the semifinals. Greg Berhalter needs to go now. The US is better without him.
