You play out extra time in full so in theory a game can be 0-0 at the start of extra time and end 6-5 if it gets wild. The "Golden Goal" stuff where a game ends once a goal is scored in ET has largely faded away (Not sure if it's a thing anywhere anymore but wouldn't surprise me if some areas of the globe still use it).

Yeah 93 minutes made it feel like a goal in reg time... it had to be scored right at the beginning of ET tho... I didn't watch the game tho so idk

Nice win. Great play at times, not so good at other times. Have to hand it to Jamaica after the delay, they came out and adjusted well.

MX hasn't be playing very well at all. I thought them the clear favorite to start. I think Sunday's match is now even.

Awesome to have both the men's and women's team playing on Sunday. Wish the championships were on Saturday so I could make it a full day of beer.

Thought the first 30min was a little aimless, but after that, things went up a notch. Thought Dunn had another quality game. Heath frustrates the hell out of me at times. Rap was money when it counted. Levelle is going to be our next star. A little surprised that Morgan didn't get a goal. Overall thought we would have scored one or two more, but I'll take it. Love that we set records for most goals scored in a WC, oldest player to score in a final, and a few more.

Hyped for the men's in a few minutes. I don't think any team has played all that great. Really hoping the US can take this. Would be a huge step forward.

They are always gonna be at a disadvantage when it comes to CONCACAF officials, so you might as well get your money’s worth if you’re gonna be called for ticky-tac stuff. This is the first match against Mexico that I’ve noticed where they’ve sustained an effort at being the aggressors and not backing down.
