Took the kids to RFK for the DC United v NYRB a few weeks ago. They were able to play on the pitch and really enjoyed it. Cool for them, especially since the only pro pitch they have seen was San Siro in Milan, but the field was covered for a concert. Great game by DCU as well!

Next up, escorting the players out on the field. June or July. They'll love it.

Anybody watching Fulham vs. Hull? I know they're near the bottom, but the second half has been exciting.

Also, I honestly don't even know what league this is from, but damn that's a beard.

Pretty sure they are a League 1 or League 2 team(tier 3 and 4). That is ridiculous.

Also watching Fulham-Hull game. I hope Hull can pull off the W. I want Sunderland to avoid relegation.

Edit: Nevermind, Huddersfield is in The Championship(2nd Division)

Not gonna lie, I am very interested to see how ManU does today with Giggs at the helm. Obviously I despise United, but I have always really liked Giggs.

I know you Liverpool fans have been hurting the last few days, never fun to watch jose celebrate on your home turf, but City is a mess when it comes to traveling to Goodison. Going to take a Herculean effort to get the W, especially without Silva on the small pitch.

Die Manschaft!

I'm cheering for Real. I don't care if they get La Decima, but I'd rather Carlo be the first to join the great Bob Paisley as the only manager to ever win THREE EUROPEAN CUPS! Pep is young yet, and I certainly don't want him eclipsing Sir Bob. I think it's obvious I hope Atletico defeat Chelsea tomorrow and the Chavs end the season without a trophy. Ideally Atletico wins the CL, but if not, I'd rather it be Carlo. 3/4 managers can join Bob, so I've resigned to it happening.

I was really just punning Manschaft on his comment about a 3 peckered goat but I hear ya.

I do like Pep though.

Would they fire Pep? I mean, he's got great talent and he's done well, but it seems like the board is upset and this is only going to get worse. They are going to commit players forward and get destroyed on the counter. They have to score five so it could get uglier if they overextend with RM's pace.

No, Pep isn't going anywhere. The whole team has kind of sucked since they won the league title a few weeks ago, but they have a good group of guys. Lewandowski will be there in a few weeks and there will be some other changes, probably defensively. Defense has been an issue for much of the year. I don't like singling out 1 player, but Dante, in particular, isn't playing this year like he did last year.

But, whatever, doubling the champions league is hard.

No doubt about it I was just wondering if it would be worse than last week. Definitely no reason to fire him, IMO, but football isn't exactly logical anymore.

I honestly think you need a CF like Suarez for that false nine. Defense is definitely poor, and upgrades are needed. Pep is a good guy and I like him since he likes LFC.

I felt like an SEC fan today. With tons of family in Barca, we grew up as Barca fans. But since I've only visited and never lived, I've never DEEPLY hated Madrid like a true Barcalonian. So as a Spaniard, I rooted for them hard today (rooting for Pepe made me sick lol). I personally have nothing against Bayern (great team that last year was just phenomenal), but I didn't want to see them win. I do love Pep though, so it was sad to see them you guys go out like that.

I disagree. I think he is in a lot of trouble. He is an outsider and they expected him to win big, as his predecessor did. They've played horribly the past month, especially by their standards.

Here's the thing though. I agree that going back-to-back is hard. REALLY hard. It is always extremely difficult to keep the same fire, intensity and close-to-perfection for so long. Just look at Bama this past year. Guys didn't work as hard, didn't concentrate as hard, took things for granted, etc, and in the end, they just weren't as dominant as they were the year before. Bayern (and Pep) were incredible for most of the year (for me, even better than last year), and then they clinched the league in record time, and they had a natural let-down which they haven't been able to regain. But Pep was in basically a no-win situation this year, and almost pulled it off.

So PLEASE Bayern, fire Pep, and Pep, come home to Barca!!! (I know, I'm dreaming...)

No way would Pep return with the current incompetent board in place.

Pep will win the UCL with Bayern one before he leaves.
