The US is just playing at a whole different pace than Mexico. Even so far this half. If you are a Mexican fan, going into Brazil I would be very worried. This squad has a good amount of first teamers.

I liked Yedlin going forward last night. I want to see more from him in the next few friendlies. Gonzalez and Beckerman did not impress at all. Although I don't like it J. Jones may be the best option there (though I personally like G. Cameron). Landon should not start. Zusi brings a bit more width to our play and has some very nice balls. He also tracks back well, which is important with our horrid back line.

Players I am most intrugued about in the next two months:
Yedlin, Cameron, B. Evans, F. Johnson
Johannson, Donovan, Dempsey
Boyd

Better now than during the World Cup... but that should have been 4-2

I would take Yedlin as backup RB behind Cameron in the World Cup. What he lacks in experience he makes up for in speed and he is great going forward.

Apparently calling someone a "swine" in Germany is much more offensive than in England.

German Glossary of Words to Avoid - S
das Schwein pig, bastard, son of a bitch, swine
This is one of the worst words in German! NEVER use it (or its compounds) unless you know what you're doing, and probably not even then! Ironically, Schwein haben means to be lucky: Wir haben Schwein gehabt. = We were lucky. (We came out smelling like a rose.)

BTW there are some epic words to not use in that link.

Honestly I could not believe how he just blew by all the Mexicans. He may be our fastest player, which we need more of at LB and RB

A second team in New York?? Shouldn't they get the first one stable first?? I heard they were adding one to Atlanta but nothing more. I figured they were just adding to Atlanta and that was it.

New York City FC - New York City FC

Jason Kreis Head Coach
Claudio Reyna -Big wig

Man City and New York Yankees purchased the team.

Are they going to share the grounds with Red Bull?? It would be prettty cool if they put them over in Brooklyn with the Nets and their Minor League team...

By Man U, do you mean Glazer?? I wonder if they'll be used as a develop team of sorts. Anyway, owned by the Yanks and Man U? They won't hurt for money.

I'm sure they do their market research, but it seems like the Southwest would draw more interest for a first team than NY would for a 2nd team. Areas like Phoenix, San Antonio, El Paso, San Diego seem like they would draw a large attendance.

Man City not ManU. They will build a soccer-specific stadium near Yankee Stadium. Won't be done until 2018 so not sure what they will do till then. They were going to build one in Queens but the Mets got uppity so they said screw it, we will put it by Yankee Stadium.

Ah, interesting... I didn't know there was any room near Yankee Stadium... I mean if they don't have room for parking right now, how are they going to squeeze in another stadium? We'll see.

I'm with WestCoast... why not somewhere in the Southwest... El Paso would be a great area for one... I would be interested to see a list of largest cities in the country without a pro team... I would assume El Paso is up there.

From what I have read they are focusing on rivalries right now like with Seattle/Portland/Vancouver, Toronto/Montreal etc. 2 New York Teams, DC, and Philly is the thinking.

I really think St. Louis should have one. They produce a ton of soccer talent from that area.

Re: the Bronx Stadium, they were planing on knocking down a warehouse and parking lot at East 153rd and Bloomberg was on board. DeBlasio is poo-pooing it.
