I'm not crying for teams like AJAX, Chelsea, Celtic, Man U, Porto etc... Okay, maybe for Celtic....

Just sayin the fair play rules combined with the Spanish distribution of league funds has greatly impacted the quality of European competition for the worse, so as a result I'm pretty against watching Liga games...

I definitely wouldn't make a case the US is about to supplant one of the top five nations in soccer, that would require us spending more on soccer than football most likely................... So....

But I do think we have the resources to put together a golden generation or two that may be able to truly compete here and there... And even now were up there among the best nations in the world (top 25 or so) which is a HUGE doing considering our program was one of the worst in the world when I was born.

As for the MLS, I def think they can compete with the top leagues quicker than the national team probably can, and are already a top ten~ league... which also is amazing considering where it was pre Beckham, it's a legit league now, period. So when I hear even stories of third parties talking about the MLS being a joke, ( Emcee's buddy, not you) I respond. Anyhow...

I just can't watch a random game like Stoke/ Hull, boring to me, but I can enjoy a UnionvCrew game for example, just me... Absolutely can't watch La Liga at all, under any circumstance... Again just me.

And if the mls is garbage then every single league in the world outside of big five is 'garbage' bc the MLS is already among the next teir down...

You want to watch some really entertaining footy, turn on a game between two Prem teams trying to avoid relegation.

My favorite league is Bundesliga. German teams don't spend stupid money, they fill up their stadiums, and if I recall, they share their TV money equally.

Not trying to be "that guy" but I find MLS just about unwatchable. I want to support it, I want them to succeed, but it is not entertaining to me. I just get frustrated watching it. Not to hammer it too much, but, I'd rather watch just about any Euro league over MLS.

I've been on the usmnt for a long long time, and I vivdly remember the days in the late 90s early 2000s where our only chance was to drop back like an Italian defense and hope for a few good counters.... It still trips me out to see USA straight playing with, and often beating, Mexico

Truth be told you are not missing much. Both teams look decent attacking, decent defending, but neither can do anything in the final third.
