I have said before that if you need to build stadiums, venues, and infrastructure to host an Olympics or World Cup after being awarded it you shouldn’t even have been considered,… especially when you look at the human rights issues some of these nations step on to get across the finish line. I couldn’t care less if it’s a rotation of five nations, oh well… only those prepared to host it fully should do so. I’m fully aware it doesn’t work that way with the politics and such but that’s the way I see it.

Should have literally held it inside the Rogers Centre but we pissed down our leg to host it a high school field cosplaying as a world cup venue. Putrid.

I don't think the Canadian sites are adding that much to this tournament but i think the Mexican sites are a positive add. Azteca is a 10/10 host venue.

Im ok with giving a few games to Mexico.

Will they ever be able to host one on their own again? I'm not familiar with their stadiums and infrastructure. I know they've hosted a couple times in the past

I've seen multiple videos of the English watching soccer games and some of the things they yell are a little disturbing. Two in particular are used a lot:

1. "Get in, my son!"
2. "C'mon, the boys!"

Look fine in writing, but then just yell them out.

Canada will get South Korea in the round of 32.

Davies, Bombito and Estaquio better start or I have no idea what they're doing on this team. With Kone out with a broken leg and those guys not starting today, we were down 4 of our top 6 players in the 2-1 loss to the Swiss. We have nowhere close to the level of depth needed to absorb those personnel losses lol.

They gave Sochi, Russia an Olympics. It has 450,000'ish people. The Brisbane metro area is home to 2.85 million people... More than 6x more populous.

My thoughts on Brisbane is after the way their fans have acted and the shit they were chanting in the game the other day, the stuff they continue to post on social media, screw the Aussies, any city. Big or small. If there was ever a chance of me skipping down to Australia after a trip to Asia that chance went away after this week. I’m good never spending a dime there.


On that note of international rivalry, I never root for England, ever,… it isn’t even the rightful home and it’s never going there,… but ,… if the English do in fact get Mexico in round 2 as is favored currently I hope they push that shit all the way in. Then lose in the next round.
