I think just the Men.
I think it's also smart to remember that Clubs usually don't allow star players permission to be released for the Olympics for a multitude of reasons.
Timing interferes with the start of the club season, and that usually there is already a continental tournament earlier in the summer (euros and or Copa).

Therefore, the Olympics keeping it at Under-23 with a few overage players allowed is best for everyone.
You have special cases where Neymar elected to represent Brazil at Rio 16, but didn't play in Copa that same summer.

The soccer season is already long enough for top internationals.
Julian Alvarez playing for Argentina is insane. A full 12 months of straight through high end competition.

I think Alvarez might just want to win every trophy on earth. Sounds like he may want out at city, atletico interested but maybe can't afford.

Yep, my gut tells me he may have to wait until next summer for his move when City have more time to buy a replacement.

Should be an interesting next few weeks with Ederson, Alvarez, and possibly KdB angling for a move elsewhere, with very little time to find replacements for what will be the longest club season ever with the FIFA Club World Cup directly after the season for City.
Not the season to go into with a depleted squad numbers wise.

Nothing more allowing that the last 5-10 mins of a soccer game with all the delaying and subs

USWNT looks strong with this healthy front three and a new manager. Mal Swanson was missed with that knee injury.

Really fun to watch yesterday. I really try to not let all the “noise” influence how I watch sports but this team already seems infinitely more likable than the last “generation”.

He's been at the top of my list for a while. I hope he takes the job despite the obvious peril that comes with it. Jesse Marsch gave everyone warning.

Where in the world is Zubamendi?
Merino is supposedly off to Arsenal as well. Have to assume Sociedad is stalling while they try to line up replacements.

Very interesting situation to say the least when they just sold off a center back to Athletico Madrid at the end of July as well. They're undoubtedly scrambling after having finished 6th in La Liga last year.

Look at it this way....he's being loyal to his boyhood club, something Liverpool fans are hoping Trent Alexander Arnold does too in short order.

Zubimendi is 25 years old and he's not going to win trophies at Real Sociedad. Fair play to him for wanting to stay.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is signing everyone but somehow Man City's trial is starting up next month. Seems like some clubs have rules, some don't.

Eh him staying loyal …that doesn’t fill our need and now only got another week to find someone else if at all. And he could have made that decision weeks ago.

I can't relate to the situation, but I'm assuming it was genuinely difficult for him.

Very strange transfer window overall. Not many ins, not many outs, not many what have yous. Just Chelsea being their cunty selves and not much else.

Says a lot about a player who will sign with Chelsea right now. Feels like guys just taking a lot of money on long term contracts knowing there won't be a great deal of pressure. Their agents are getting pretty fat fees too.

Seems reckless, but the Americans running the show are baseball people and probably think it's done the same way. They're hoarding players and it's actually incredibly reckless for their club, the game and the transfer market.

Edwards and Hughes not off to a great start. Liverpool have signed no one yet, sold a few players surplus to requirements and were planning on letting Endo go as well. I guess we will be stuck with Gravenberch as a #6 lol I guess maybe we are signing a potential Allison replacement that will be sent out on loan. No contracts for VVD or TAA... I dont get it.

Not everybody can be Chelsea.

Which is fine because the world is already full of cunts.
