I have to think that you live by the money bag and that you die by the money bag...

When Auburn hired Gene Chizik, the thought was that he was a top-notch recruiter with a defensive mind -- similar to his former mentor Nick Saban. Chizik brought Auburn to the national championship, and brought in a Heisman Trophy winner in Cam Newton. But now, he appears to be losing his recruiting class: This comes form AL.com.

"Four-star wide receiver Ricardo Louis has changed his commitment from Auburn to Florida State this Friday, leaving the Tigers with 15 commitments, the fewest in the SEC," the website reports.

In 2010, Auburn had 32 commitments. In 2011, the Tigers picked up 26. They're ranked 15th, far behind No. 1 Alabama for in-state supremacy. Not a good offseason to be Gene Chizik.

I wish this post didn't increase your vbucks because you started this thread but I couldn't stay away..

Why in the hell would anyone feel bad for Auburn?!?! Alabama, Auburn, Miami, USC.. etc etc can all burn.

For an inordinate amount of reasons, including the # of commitments cited in the OP, no I do not feel sorry for Auburn.

Considering they may steal what many consider is the best recruit in the country from us..... No.

Yeah, if they gave up on Darby and Armstead so a better university (Notre Dame) could land them, I might be inclined to feel sympathy. Otherwise? No.

The only teams I come close to ever feeling bad for are the service academies. Those young men are going to be serving our country.

I can only do so much with the iPad.

So I had to go back to my old thievin' ways for a bit.

The lapper is out boys.

(The convenience of the iPhone and iPad seriously nueters my online personality, but I think my grad professors enjoy it more...)
