Idiotic post of the day. Price is your number 1 back Love is gonna be back 2 and used a lot in the passing game
I think both backs can be used in the passing game. They both have speed, I think Love has the better moves.

Is Price the #1 back? I think Love can be the #1 back. A great problem to have on our offense for opposing defenses.

Price is your starting back. Not sure why people think he’s about to transfer. They’re being cautious with him and not getting him banged up before the season.
Based on today, Love is the best back, but I get that he's such a weapon we're getting him reps at WR so we can keep him on the field and get him the ball. Aneyas looked pretty good too.

Bottom line is ND is best served having both of these guys on the field amap.

Denbrock's formula last year was throw to WR's #1 & #2 a lot.

Run the QB a lot

Throw to one TD not a lot

Spread remaining rushing attempts around to a RB room where Logan Diggs was the best option.

If Leonard's healthy and Love's the next Ricky Watters... it sets up really well for ND as our RB and TE rooms are much better than LSU's.

Did this guy decide to go the Autry Denison route and shut down his recruiting operation?

Recruiting as a whole operation has gotten quiet.

Didn't ND just have their summer BBQ? Hopefully this sparks recruiting.

Zero skill position recruits were there for it
Oh....I did not know that. What happened with our offensive recruiting? I understand with Hines he got more $ offered. There's got to be more than what's been posted on this board with Meadows and Robinson, just a month ago we were sitting in the drivers seat with both.

Something just doesn't seem right to me, I doubt Freeman changed his approach and bringing in Denbrock as the OC is a big upgrade for the offense.

I can’t speak to what the BBQ means for the ‘26 class, but in terms of RB recruiting in ‘25…

Whether they’re satisfied with their two commits or not, we aren’t going to hear much about movement with RB recruiting right now, imo.

They’re at the point now where it’s about putting a good product on the field, and seeing if that causes movement with any number of guys they might try to get in with. It’s also the time when they might go into a holding pattern as they wait for senior film to start coming in, to see if they might want to flip someone, or have a difficult convo with someone that’s committed.

A good product on the field at RB? They’ve been doing that in spades for the last 10 years. And now they finally have home grown talent having major success in the NFL.

RB recruiting should be pretty easy at this point.

Both guys in the 2024 class are gonna be good I don’t think they needed to bring in a 2025 game changer both guys are depth

Which is fine, and could be true.

They’ve had two running backs locked up in the 2025 class for almost a full year now. That gives DMC a bunch of extra time to get ahead of schedule for the 2026 guys, which it doesn’t appear he has.

I feel like the teams Notre Dame wants to beat are recruiting kids who are good enough to ever see the field every season, regardless of the previous class.

McCullough doesn't just want to be a RB coach long-term. He has higher career aspirations

Probably didn't think he'd still be here nor does he probably plan on being here. This is widely known and been discussed on several different podcasts even since he was hired

Mailed in his 2025 class 18 months early on some average prospects

If he was engaged they would've started recruiting over both prospects after their underwhelming junior seasons

And there would be some 2026 prospects on the radar by now

It's not difficult to read the situation

Guy doesn't go from being the best recruiter on the staff to this current level just randomly

Every other year works for a position group in which usage is low. QB is a perfect example. Getting a great one every year (usually) doesn't work. The recruits see who's ahead of them on the depth chart and look elsewhere. RB is kind of there now too, you rarely see more than one on the field at any given time these days. RB's not used a lot on special teams either.

So I'm not too worked up about this class yet, but they need to hit the next cycle. We're not going for multiple TE's every year either. Get LBs and DBs that can cover kicks and punts early in their career and then play as RS sophs.

I really don't get the concern with RB recruiting.

I can't speak much on Anderson, because there isn't much film I can find on him, but Thurman looks like a legit blue-chipper. Dude has that second gear that you want in a back.

Seems like ND is content with the guys they have at RB, so unless a no-question elite dude is looking for an in, that's where they're gonna end up in '25.

I know I’ve mentioned it before but Anderson was injured most of last year and the staff evaluated him in person before his commitment so that gives some optimism he’ll be better than expected. Hopefully we’ll get to see more during his senior year.

Anderson was also an MVP of a camp in Dallas during the off-season. I don’t know the specifics, like who else was there to get a read of the competition of the event, but it atleast shows he has some skills and/or athleticism
