I’ll admit I’m very nervous. For whatever dumb reason seeing ND football win a natty before I die is pretty much the only thing i have zero control over that I still really care about happening. Is ND legit finally or is this yet another mirage?? We begin to find out tonight

IDK why you guys post shit like this

I can't be walking around work with 3 quarters of a chub all day.
Well, technically it depends on your line of work. It might be acceptable. Just make sure you wear stretch pants

What a time to be alive. A college football playoff game at the greatest place in the nation. I don’t care about uniforms or the transfer portal. Irish by 2 touchdowns. What a great day boys. Enjoy to all who are there.

Luckily it’s the Friday before Christmas Break so there’s enough crap going on here at school to keep me preoccupied until 3:00.

For those already partaking…have a couple for me!

Unfortunately not. I have had some great running teams that snow and bad field conditions shut right down. One year we had beaten a team 42-0 during the season. We played them in the playoffs in 8 inches of snow. Our line could not get any traction. Kept slipping all game long and couldn't get a push because of the footing. Our backs were fast and had a big speed advantage over the D, but their slashing/quick style had them slipping all game long when we had creases. Cutback lanes were cancelled out because we kept slipping on our cuts.

I have also learned that slippery field conditions favor WR's over DB's because they know where they are going and can get their feet under them on a cut. DB's are more reactionary and slip more than WR's.

Just my experiences in 25 years of coaching in a bad weather state.
The weather and field conditions definitely have me a bit nervous. I have seen what you experienced. Defenses unable to get traction so the O pushes them around. The secondary slipping and unable to make cuts to keep up causing the passing game to be unexpectedly effective. The wind was not even a factor because the receivers were so wide open. Praying this is not the case tonight.

My brother! Get it!!ā˜˜ļø
Going to be a loooooong day. So snow removal is a big part of what my company does and we are fortunate to take care of the Eddy St Commons area right next to campus. I’ve been down here since midnight last night helping them coordinate all of this chaos. Everything is all wrapped up so I decided to walk across the street and meet up with some tailgaters. Going to this game is going to be a challenge.

It feels good to switch to the probability mindset from the possibility mindset.

Tonight, we should win, and I expect it to happen

Tonight, we might win, and I hope that happens

Yes Sir.... I expect a lot of slant and out routes from IU... Line needs to have hands up. 10-15mph winds for 'zip' passes won't be affected too much if at all. I expect Golden to have the D ready. Having Cross back is huge to me. I think Cross will give the DBs confidence they can focus on WRs and not worry too much about Play-Action.
