Saw the Cubs v Mets (game 3) and the stadium - left field bleachers were open - looked good.

Don't understand why Schlitter is constantly used. I don't think I've seen him go an inning without giving up an extra base hit.

Schlitter has been in the minors for a few weeks. He was brought up today because of the 15 inning game yesterday. Rosscup has basically displaced him.

I know that, but I don't understand using him in that situation. It seems he is constantly used, when he is up, in tight game situations and fails miserably every time.

Our bullpen sucks.

They've been terrible so far this season, but they just go Grimm back, and Neil Ramirez is just about done with his rehab stint. Things will hopefully start looking upwards for the bullpen.

My wife and I got to see Kris Bryant's first two games as a big leaguer, and we're taking our boys up to their first game on June 11th and we've got bleacher seats.

It's nice to see Lester start to settle in. They sure could use another arm close to his level though. Otherwise this team is so fun to watch! Bryant is the truth!

Crazy that Bryant is already leading the team in RBIs. Going to be a lot of fun watching him and Rizzo, and hopefully Soler and Russell, hitting over the next 10 years.

Shit. Can't watch the game at work but I see that Bryant was taken out. Anybody know why?

Edit: guess he was sick. That's a relief

and if it aint running right, I was diligent!

Was at the Thursday Cubs v Mets game-caught my first foul ball! Stadium looks righteous. Not overdone at all and the green digi boards fit right in.

Geno's East afterward. All was right with the world.

So much young talent stepping up and delivering today. Great game by Hendricks, monster 460+ ft 8th inning HR for Bryant and Russell with 3 hits including a walkoff. This team is going to be fun to watch for years to come.

A great start by Hendricks, absolute bomb by Bryant, and walkoff by Russell on top of the fact Schwarber might be behind the plate at one point this season has me drinking all sorts of Kool aid tonight.

Schwarber coming up to DH for 6 games. Considered me absolutely f-ing pumped!

Also, went to the game on Sunday night for my first time in the new bleachers. Absolutely love it, still the same vibe, a lot cleaner, easily accessible restrooms and concessions, and the video boards add a new element that keeps the stadium up with the times without distracting from the game.

You guys will love Kyle. He is a fantastic athlete(started at MLB on an undefeated football team in D-1 in OH - lost to Braxton Miller in Playofffs) and his discipline at the plate is awesome. Great kid too. I watched him grow up(his dad and I played soccer together) and he has an incredible support team around him that will keep him grounded. Super excited for him.

According to his dad, the plan is to move him to LF.

Wish I were still in OH and could head up to Cleveland to see him play.

Wow. Didn't expect that. I don't expect a ton, but it'll be fun to see him get a shot. I really don't know what his long-term projection is. Platoon with Montero? Move to OF and have the flexibility to be a 3rd catcher (Maddon would love that)?

Fun.

About thirty of his friends are at the games along with his family. They are having a ball. I am loving watching my Facebook blow up every time he comes up. Good stuff. After seven at-bats Cubs fans are already in love.

First ML HR tonight.

<iframe src='http://mlb.mlb.com/shared/video/embed/embed.html?content_id=176022883?topic_id=8878538&width=400&height=224&property=mlb' width='400' height='224' frameborder='0'>Your browser does not support iframes.</iframe>

The dude can flat out rake.

With that being said I still think he needs to play for another month or two or until a spot opens on the ML roster where he will get ABs everyday. No need to rush him along after a good week, I trust Theo and Co in anything and everything they do at this point.
