Statewide stay-at-home order in California.
A couple US Senators just proposed a bill that would move most American pharmaceutical production out of China.
This is great. But, wars have been started over less money being cut off.
Scary, strange times we have to look forward to.
I am waiting on test results for two people with symptoms who came in contact with someone who I had multiple contact with. They are now all in quarantine. Amazing how real it just got! I can even take food to my elderly Mother until I know the results.
I heard yesterday that "forcing" zinc into you system is good so I went to the vitamin shoppe and scored some military grade zinc.
..... and THIS is where that was coming from.
Pages and pages back there was an infectiois disease expert on Joe Rogans podcast and he said warm weather siding is completely false.
Mentioned something about the most common coronavirus in humans exists in middle East from camels and it continues to thrive there in over 100° weather
We have been testing Chloroquinine for several weeks in many labs worldwide. The biggest claims come from China, and Western medicine wants to check things out fully. The medicine is approved for two other health problems, but it's US policy NOT to just wildly approve until things get clinical trials, AND proper levels of dosing can be estimated. In critical cases of individual doctor judgement, these sorts of drugs CAN already be used, but not with open FDA approval.
Obviously the thing is not a "cure", as places using it on humans (ex. China) would be very different.
Spoke to my surgeon friend for 32 mins today. His workload is lightening until Tuesday due to canceling any non-essential surgeries.
He still thinks this is wildy over dramatized. Says the mortality rate is a joke. In many cases, especially in dense cities they only test you if you have severe symptoms and that's what the "mortality" rate is built off of.
Medium or mild symptoms, not getting a test in most cases. So for the worst of the worst the mortality rate is 1%?

This is all bullsh*t, like virtually every post you have made on this topic. They have mortality rates from many places with widespread, comprehensive testing. In South Korea, it's 1% because of the level of care everyone has access to and it affecting an extremely young populous.
So your BEST CASE is 1% in a perfectly managed country under absolutely ideal conditions that we don't have here... your "worst of worst" sure as fuck isn't 1%. People like you are the problem. Stop spreading misinformation and read an article or something -- https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/16/opin...oronavirus-survivability-sepkowitz/index.html
Not trying to be argumentative, but many doctors specifically have said the stats now are likely inflated due to test rates. Even in SKO, which did great in testing, only 00.3% of population have been tested. We know that symptoms vary widely (many don't know they have it), so we can assume many that had or even still have the virus, were never tested.
Like I've said before, I'm treating things like the mortality rate is 10% due to family situation, and encourage everyone to do the same. That said, I'm not sure what we think we know now (stats), is close to accurate. Really doesn't matter at this point, everyone simply needs to stay the F home if they can.

I turned on Fox News and caught the end of an interview saying a car manufacturer was going to start making ventilators instead of cars.
It’s Gm and Ford.

As we all know the numbers are forged and not a real representation of anything.
Just curious If you've caught any walleye or northern pike in gitche gumee?
Amazing how wrong you often are.
I've fished it, but can't recall what we caught to be honest. We were fishing all over the place on a trip that took us through the Dells, to Duluth, north of Duluth, and then up to the Nestor Falls area. People get around more by boat than car in NF lol, and I know we caught both there. That area is kind of a trib of LS. IIRC, we didn't have near as much luck when fishing LS directly. I did bring back a ton of Rainbow Trout that trip. Had a big ole cookout for my buddies. That was many many moons ago though. Been wanting to get back up that way.
Nah...
Tesla was what I heard. Hope they do a better job then they do at making cars.
Woah Woah Woah... you can neg me but you don't get to neg my main man Musk.
I publicly neg you sir!
What's inaccurate? While I'll take the under on all of these doomsday predictions, the mortality rates this guy used aren't wild outlier. You may not like Newsom's prediction but that's not the point, I just passed on his statements that are compared with commonly used mortality rates.
More importantly... Can't believe ya negged me. That's #3 in 24k posts and 6 years. In fact, the last time I got negged, you actually sent me a PM saying that guy was a tool. You were right that night, you are wrong tonight.

From what l I am hearing from people working on this in California, is those numbers are precise with our current trajectory. They do not take into account any mitigation tactics that are being employed in some areas. I am thinking he will shut down the state now.
I love It up there. I fished the Canadian side 20 plus years ago and had a hard time coming home to catch the small ones... Lol. The old fish stories come back to life if you've caught anything north of the border. Lake Superior being one. One of the best kept secrets there is.
The infection rate for starters.
It was 20+ years ago for me too. It was one of my favorite fishing trips ever. Had a little cabin on the banks in Nestor Falls at our last stop during the trip. Caught all kinds of stuff and the nature was just incredible. On a different note, may sound funny, but I had great luck on a few hill billy vacations to the Indiana Beach area as a kid with my father. Between the lakes, damns, rivers, etc around there, caught everything from Walleye, Pike, Sager, all kinds of hybrids, and even a Muske. A ton of huge Cats too. I still remember my dad losing several poles over the years because he didn't pay attention to his line. I'd start by trying to catch small panfish, and then use them as bait. Good times.
That's Newsom's projections. He's the Governor. That's not some random stroke on Twitter. Don't neg the messenger.
I reneg you!
Can you elaborate?

Sure. So my wife told me that she had heard about elderberry being good against viruses. I decided to do a little research and I saw where they did a double blind study on it with flu patients. The majority of the ones who took it recovered 4 days sooner than the ones who didn't.
My 14 year old son came down with a high fever and was so congested that he could hardly breathe. We took him to the minute clinic and he tested positive for the flu. He took elderberry that night and then the following morning. By that night, it was much better. The next day, it was shut down. Of course he had residual drainage and such.
We all take it every day now during the winter. I'm not saying it's going to stop the Covid-19 but man, it can't hurt.

My Grandfather was a ww2 veteran and had a cabin on O'Sullivan Lake, we would go in June after the snow melted and It was a time I know I took for granted back then.. It was some of the best times of my life and It's a memory I have a tough time with when thinking back.
Hillbilly stuff ain't all that bad... Builds a bit of character right?...
