I've seen more and more stuff pointing away from the wet markets, and pointing to the labs. It's been confirmed the molecular backbone points most to the bats. Several folks have confirmed that wet markets in question didn't have the horseshoe bats. And several have confirmed that the labs were absolutely testing with those bats. It has been suggested though that there has been animal trade between the labs and the wet markets, which is pretty scary if true. Even mentioned on Tucker Carlson IIRC.

Looks like Michigan gov ended her Orange Man Bad resistance to hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine treatments and has requested supply from the national stockpile.

Every bit of data that I've seen has been optimistic. Can't believe anyone out there would still push back. After the strong messaging from the French, you'd have thought everyone would have jumped on board.

To me, this screams that the Chinese intended for this to happen and are covering it up.

In other news, water is still wet.

While I'm sure it's much rarer than a typical transmission, still pretty scary....

Just breathing or talking may be enough to spread COVID-19 after all

I really doubt it was intentional, but I absolutely think they are covering shit up. I've lost count of all those who have been "disappeared". There has been doctors, scientist, professors, journalists, and now even a tycoon that criticized Xi. It's incredible the blind eye that the world has when it comes to this shit. Too big to criticize I guess.

I was thinking about this a few weeks ago. Typically, we brand 600-650 calves over two days. A real community event with 5-6 roping horses, calf teams, vaccinations, dehorners, hot iron brands, and castrators.

Usually, 100+ people turn out. Maybe 30 in the pens, Big meal and drinks afterwards with plenty of prairie oysters for dessert. This is the new reality...

NYC is running on fumes. The fact they are saying we are 2 weeks out from the peak here is not good. We are losing large numbers of resources daily.

Not sure where you are but my friend works at Tisch Hospital and she says they have more than enough PPE's to last for weeks if not months with constant trucks dropping off more every day.

I’m in Brooklyn. And I’m referring to people not supplies. And though they may have enough PPE at her hospital currently, I can assure you it hasn’t reached the people on the streets just yet.

Glass half empty guy I assume? The bolded part is about as cold and callous as one could get. Maybe we should just have a law where once you hit 80, we automatically terminate you? Afterall, the elderly are simply a drain on our resources. They may have served in the military or saved a life back when they were young, but now they're just mooching off of us.

You need some Lexapro, Zoloft or maybe see if you can get on Dr. Phil.

I didn't once say that our elder's are the issue whatsoever.
What I'm saying...(I'm figuring it out as I go along also).. Is people that have not taken care of themselves through no fault but their own..., Sitting at home eating cheetos, Ice cream and Popeye's all day and then find themselves unhealthy enough to be a useful part of their own lives, let alone the lives that others care about..... Shouldn't cry wolf for years and when shit hits the fan start worrying and blaming everyone else about hypertension as a fault of anyone but themselves.
Our elders are the thoughts that creates our future, and I know some of us are older than some of those that are younger. All of us are the ones that should be the ultimate decision maker without the scare tactics of (people die daily and the virus Isn't always the reason)... and we haven't even been asked...
I bet you got a poll on how you feel about the upcoming presidential race tho.
We have have been told by a few what Is best for everyone. (last time I checked we still are being told we are a working Democracy) The 2 party system has obviously done a toll and has got to go.
If this virus doesn't show the hypocrisy of the wealthy old than IDK what will.
We could always give China the keys and let our elected officials do to us what they have done to them... Biden Jr would be richer at least...

Maybe this will make everyone hit the restart and start thinking instead of letting others think for us..

Contrary to some who believe that the reason the oil and gas industry is classified as an essential business is simply to benefit rich corporations, I suspect the reason has more to do with the fact that without a steady supply of these natural resources cities like NY would not have a reliable source of electricity making all those ventilators that Cuomo says he needs worthless.

Well, the issue wit this Is gas prices are getting to a point that the rich are worried and maybe thats the whole ordeal. Just maybe the Russians and China pushed the button hard enough that the global market had to find a way to stop the bleeding. 20 dollars a barrel? so much overflow that the price might drop to ZERO.... Hence don't drive, stay home..?
Who knows, but this isn't a thing that would have happened 10 years ago... and It didn't

We're working on the same. Saw a segment on it last night. Not only for the value of "back to work", but for plasma treatment too IIRC.

The speed of science right now is pretty incredible. I saw another microbiologist talking about a breakthrough that simply lets us see the "invisible" enemy. I know that sounds pretty simple, but it's huge. It allows them to now rapidly test existing FDA approved treatments against the virus. The doctor says this normally takes them many months to years to do for a new virus. This took them less than a month once they were finally given access to the virus (from the fist patient in the US).

There's been so much talk about the low quality of tests used everywhere, and simply the fact that even a lot of dead never got tested. Read one article early on that the original German tests used everywhere were found to be very flawed (it's why our CDC chose to make their own). The numbers we have from outside of the US are highly questionable. And then there's the whole deceit situation with China...

We've never had anything close to an infrastructure or existing processes like SK has (built in response to run ins with SARS and MERS). We've also never had any guidelines that say what the state is responsible for vs fed. We know some states have prepared themselves better than others, and some states have studied the needs, and some of those states have failed heed the guidance of those studies. Suffice to say, at minimum, it's pretty unacceptable for a state or city with high density to have less than the national state average per capita, especially one with such a high state tax..

The FDA Is something many of us peons haven't really examined; but they always hold out for new treatments to illness's until the highest bidder comes forth. Do you not see some odd correlation with all of this nonsense?

The FDA is F'd six ways from Sunday, and has been for a very long time. It's been examined time and time again, and the data is out there for anyone that cares to read. Both over and under regulation in areas for the almighty $. It needs a good house cleaning and streamlining.

This time, I really want to be right with my thought process and examination of the past 40+... We can't listen to the BS the media has given us for the past 20 years and accept the outcome. People from other counties ask why we are doing what we are doing.

I'll give you my latest example and I'm sure someone will say Obama did It...
We did IT! We masterbated enough to blind ourselves (our grandparents were right) from the reality that we are facing today.

I sincerely hope that hydroxychloroquine is a potential solution but you need to take the French study with a huge grain of salt. It was a severely flawed study for many reasons.
- It was non-randomized and all the "Control" group had relative contraindications to hydroxychloroquine. With that as the control (non-treatment group), they are inherently going to be sicker and skew the data in favor of the treatment.
- The study only had 42 patients (26 received the drug, 16 did not) and 6 withdrew from the study because of "early cessation of the drug." Of the reasons the drug were stopped was 3 went to the ICU and 1 patient died. So basically they excluded all the sickest patients in the treatment arm which again will skew the data in favor of treatment.

While minimal, the drug does have some potentially dangerous side effects including causing abnormal heart rhythms so providers need to be thoughtful when prescribing it.

I am not saying this wont work and we shouldn't give it, but in my opinion the French data is not worth much. You can read the study below.

If they had everyone stop drinking the water and breathing the air that corporations have polluted? Would you? You would be 100% cured of Cancer... Hypothetically.
Funny how we don't worry about those things.

As I understand it, these are all known side effects, no? From what I recall, the French where very clear/up-front about the limited nature, and potential side effects. That said, the results were pretty powerful. Those positive results have been mirrored in other limited tests. In short, most docs involved have spoken adamantly about the logic behind using it as opposed to not using it. The French went as far as saying is was unethical not to utilize it.

And if you're a fan of FDA behavior, look at flibanserin as an example of a drug they approved that had very poor results while also causing harm (and did it in a non-disaster situation). The %s that particular drug achieved are hilarious. Conversely, the new cocktail for Covid, has been widely studied, just not in relation to treatment of covid. And we are in a disaster type situation.

I am all for using it as the potential benefits outweigh the potential harms. I am just not entirely sold on the benefits of it (but trust me, I really hope it works). I think most docs share my opinion.

Funny, nobody including the WHO was better than "that" pre 2016....

My neighbor's father (Chinese guy, at least late 60s), calls it Wuhan Flu... I'll make sure I tell his daughter to correct him when I talk to them this weekend. He'll likely call me personally to tell me to F off. He's likes me better than his son in law and prefers my cook outs, so perhaps he'll let me slide.

China is going to make enemies of the entire world after this is over. Not because this originated there, but because they covered it up for as long as they could, allowed millions (literally) of people to leave Hubei when shit fit the fan, and intentionally and drastically under reported numbers. All this to gain political and economical advantage.

How do you gain an economic advantage when your buyers all die? Producers need purchasers.
