I will also add that once people figure the proper sliders, it will hopefully get better but it's just funny how so little has changed.
That’s the thing did we really want much different? I’ve been playing since Monday and I just now found out about there being no music from Reddit.

Also made a team builder and it took forever. Needed to find and learn how to direct ai graphic tools to make a proper logo and decals.

Everything feels tedious in this game. I dabbled with a custom playbook and gave up after a few minutes.

Amazon just dropped off a second Duelsense controller.
WTF, they don't come with a charging cable?

I’m in my 4th season as the OC at Georgia Southern (All American). I played the first two games in season, but simmed the rest because the team was dog shit and I was just getting frustrated. I just focused on recruiting and the portal.

I made the playoffs in seasons 2 and 3 but no championships yet. I mainly just run, because I can’t throw for shit.

They need to tweak recruiting/transfer portal a bit. I just picked up Elic Ayomanor in the transfer portal at Toledo because no one else pursued him.

Does anyone know how to improve coach prestige? I sat on D- forever and lost a bunch of players through the portal because of it. I’m up to a C now, but idk what dictates your coach prestige grade.

I wanted the game to be difficult because the computer is smart, not because it's cheap.

I'm sure you have a spare USB-C cable laying around, but if not...

The dual-charging stands are very convenient and cheap. You can get the Playstation-branded PowerA dual charging stand for like $12 at Gamestop I think, or $20 on Amazon

So with two kids under 3 and not a lot of time to play should I just hold off? Sounds like the learning curve is drastic

Where is the QB kneel play?
It used to be in special teams formation, but I cannot find it.

It is in special teams but then you have to use R1 to scroll to the specific special teams formation.

I use it on defense, otherwise I get torched calling my own plays on defense

I don’t do too bad. But I hate in the offensive playing calling I want to go for it on 4th and 1 and all brings up is special teams.

Does anyone else often see their coach level up in dynasty and not receive coins? This happens like half the time for me. Like the progress bar will go to a new level, I will see the “+10” pop up near the bar, and then I’ll go to the main dynasty page and have the same amount or coins as before. Which feels like a pretty major bug (severely limiting in filling out your skill tree) but I don’t see many (if any) talking about it.
I see this happen a lot in my game, but the coins are still there. They're just not showing I think. I can still spend them.
There's also a bug in Recruiting I've found when removing/adding time to a player. Sometimes it'll show the right value, other times it won't update on the screen until you refresh.

The ND playbook sucks.
This is my consensus too, at least offensively. I haven't played with the defense much as I'm OC and playin' just the offense like the old days. I like some of the passing plays, but the run game is hot garbage in ND's playbook imo. It's almost entirely a shit ton of broken Read Option between the tackles or Inside Zone, with some Outside Zone mixed in. That's basically it. There's a few Counters, one Stretch play, one Toss play, and one Trap. Not enough options, especially if you're limited on how often you can call the same play. There's RPO of course, but that's not a designed Run play per say.

Now, all that Read Option would be great if it was NCAA '14 because the Read Option was gold if you made the right read typically. In this game it feels a bit broken though, more often than not my RB gets stuffed if I give it to him, and if I keep it a DL seems to already be in the backfield to bring me down. Unless you're playing against a much worse team, or you mess with the blocking sliders, I feel like the Read Option plays and Inside Zone plays are about worthless. Even on Varsity I get 2-3 yards tops on those typically, worse on All American.

My 2nd season at Ball State and Recruiting is going much better than the 1st. Obviously the school leveled up quite a bit because we only lost one game the first season, but I think I've figured out a few things about recruiting too.

For one, I'm doing "Send the House" or whatever in the beginning, along with either DM the Recruit or Scan his Social Media so I can figure out what his Ideal Pitch is (The 3 green checkmarks). Sometimes you can get 2 and guess the third using process of elimination. Once I've figured out his ideal pitch (And hopefully my school is a B or better in at least 2 of the 3) I switch to Hard Sell and just spam that. It's allowed me to get to some early leads, at least with recruits that I was already in their Top 8, and then sometimes an Early Visit will lock them up quick. Sometimes you don't even need the visit. I was able to get one player to Auto Commit during Preseason because I was their #1 school, but this doesn't always work, it probably has a 10-15% success rate like the old game. In the old game you could game the system a bit with those if you reset the game after offering a Scholly, but that doesn't work here as it saves right away. After some testing I was able to get the Sway option to work if the new Ideal Pitch included at least one of his previous green checkmarks, but it sometimes took a few tries to get it to work. I never got it to work if there wasn't at least one green checkmark. Felt like a bit of wasted time, it's almost better to just spam Hard Sell as long as you have at least 2 of the 3 checkmarks at a decent grade.

I only ended up with 15 total recruits my first year at Ball State, partly because I refused to recruit anything less than 3 stars. I'm halfway through my second season though and I'm already sitting at 10 recruits with 3-4 more ready to commit any day. I'm getting a number of 4 stars too. It definitely helps to go after kids in the Pipeline, especially if you Pipeline is at 3+. It helps greatly if they're already interested before you begin the process (I didn't have any 3 stars interested in Ball State first season since they were so bad, so I had to do more reaching). If a kid isn't interested at first it'll take at least a week or two to get on his radar, more if he's being sought after. You can definitely still pickup kids that fall through the cracks throughout the season, but I noticed that the CPU will sometimes pick up the slack and start recruiting them hard once you do. The CPU also has a tendency to go for certain positions and player types early. Deep Threat WRs get recruited first, then Possession, and Physical WRs are often forgotten. Power HBs are often forgotten too. Blocking TEs get overlooked. Also, but not always, the CPU will avoid dud players (Broken gem). A "dud" 4 star player is still pretty good for a building program like Ball State of course. I have seen once where a "Gem" player got overlooked, but it doesn't happen often unless it's a player type that's undesired like the Physical WR.

Oh, and for those that are building lower programs, the available Total Hours you can commit to recruiting all recruits goes up as your school's Prestige increases. For a 1 star Program you get 350 hours, but a 2 star Program gets 450. I haven't been able to unlock the Elite Recruiter tree yet because it requires you to sign two Top 5 classes, which is honestly a little ridiculous. I imagine it might be difficult to do that given the hour restrictions until you reach a 4 or 5 star school.

From season 1 to the beginning of season 2 the team jumped from 71 Overall to 81 Overall when you factor in Recruiting, Transfers, and Training.

Anyone else hating how you can go into a formation to call a play and then when you get back to the huddle it has shot you back into the coach suggestions? WHY. It takes 12 seconds just to scroll through all the damn shotgun formations I have to get back to the play call I want.

Anybody paid enough attention to know how the "WR" and "Slot WR" depth chart positions interact with eachother?

Do I use the main "WR" spot to set the overall pecking order, then use the "Slot WR" spot to establish who is inside if it's three-wide (or more)?

For example, if I put Greathouse as the #2 WR at the normal depth chart spot, but then set him as the slot WR, will he shift inside when I use a 3WR formation, but be the 2nd outside WR in all other formations?

Teams can’t kick a simple field goal at the end of a half in RtG. No idea what happens since it is always simmed. Was it blocked, just knelt it at the 3 yard line to go into half? About a 75% chance to have your game go into OT & about impossible to rank your player up.
Only 2 plays to choose from if you disagree with the coaches call. Can you change these?
Started off as a 80 overall, am now a senior at Oregon (RB) & am 84.
What happened to the consistent bumps from year to year?
Overall, fun game, too many quirks and bugs, 2.8 stars for now.

Started as a "contributor" as a QB at Kennesaw State, using RTQ to learn the passing game. Picked "Scrambler" as my tendency, because it seemed like the hit to throwing attributes was minimal compared to perks as a runner... got into my detailed attributes after a few weeks, saw that the descriptions must have been off, because my throwing attributes were way worse than expected, and my running attributes (even as a 67 OVR) were not as good as expected.

Started as a 67 OVR, currently up to a 71 during bowl week of my first season.

Got burned by the sim field goal thing in two different games. Played it safe during two end-of-game situations, thinking I'd being kicking FG's for wins from the center of the field inside the 20, but went to OT both times, lost one of them. Frustrating.

Playing on All American with a less-than-stellar WR group is tough as a QB and limited control over playcalling.

Were you +4, main overall? Or was that the season progression OVR (green upward arrow)?
My seasonal progression doesn’t seem to carryover into the following year.

I think it's my main overall? It's whatever the OVR is that's listed below my player's photo in the upper right corner of the dashboard

I don’t like that if I am beating Michigan 71 to 10 and there’s a minute and 40 seconds left and the announcer says Michigan is going to have to really step it up if they’re gonna pull this one out.

the commentary (more so how its interjected in games) is terrible. EA fumbled the ball on that big time

So maybe I’m stupid, but is there a way to just play through this season? or do I have to pay extra for that?

Edit appears I can do it in dynasty mode.
