If I never see Colorado prominently displayed on video games, magazines, it'll still be enough for the century. How TF did this attention-seeking program get rewarded so much for the things most of us hate.

I'm sure they'll be better this year but they better win at least one playoff game to meet the hype they've generated.

All kinds of cool shit coming out with the various gameplay reveals coming in from streamers and personalities.

Road to Glory looks dope, with a shitload of customization, and legit grind to raise attributes, though the path to climbing the depth chart appears easier. Seems like it’s more in the “Madden Superstar” way of things with how costly it will be to raise individual attributes. But earning coach trust appears easier than it was in NCAA14, for those familiar.

A guy that has streamed NCAA14 Road to Glory for a long time got to put an entire season’s worth of the new version on YouTube. It also appears that you can edit conferences and everything, basically setting it up like dynasty but without full team control once you’re in, obviously.

Also: You CAN edit recruits in dynasty!

Dynasty looks awesome, I'll never play CUT or pay for anything, I don't care about microtransactions or begrudge people who enjoy that part of the game, and this thread will be flooded soon with people having fun with dynasty.

EA's history is duly noted and your points are fine but you just seem like a massive party pooper.
Maybe, but I think you are forgetting that you just had to jump in and say ignorant shit like the below, when I wasn't even responding to you, but politely explaining to dublin that EA is not more parent friendly.
I think EA knows where their bread is buttered with this game. Dynasty just had an 80-page blog while the CUT Twitter account has posted 3 times and there's no info about what will encompass ultimate team in the game.

10 years down the road, yeah ultimate team stuff probably has a greater emphasis as the younger generation gets hooked. Right now though, I don't think many are paying attention to or care about microtransactions.
You said that, to this...
This is EA Sports, though. That companion app is for nothing other than the ultimate team menu grind.

If you guys want the pomp of college football for a little bit every week, don't pay me much mind. But if you are planning to play often, do not expect EA to help you do anything other than spend money through microtransactions. Non-revenue generating areas of the game will get less and less attention.

Which is a fact. They want to hook kids/young adults/addicts on the casino and why Ultimate Team drove child based protection law(s) in Belgium. Players have been complaining for over a decade about the failure to support/improve the core game modes evenly.

I've been playing EA Sports games (they are all basically the same) with varying intensity for the last 15 years or so (whenever I decided to stop going out). It got even better when EA Play came out and you could get the game for free at the end of its cycle. Excuse the fuck out of me for trying to help manage expectations.

So, go fuck yourself ;).

hopefully not how the fight song sounds in the final game. sounds like a cheap cover band. every fight song i’ve heard from the game so far sounds like a cheap knockoff

Yeah, I doubt that's the Victory March they use. It does seem to be edited in, no announcers saying "Here Come the Irish" or anything. They typically use the actual band's recorded stuff, and/or gameday audio. It would be sweet if they did "Here Come the Irish/Shipping Up to Boston," but even if they don't I have an audio file already prepared from the last game with it.

Apparently getting five star recruits off the bat at a 1 star prestige program is super easy

I saw that with the Youtuber that got to do a dynasty season. He put all of his coach skills into the recruiting tree, had an OC that was also a great recruiter, and the recruiting skills/bonuses for both coaches stacked.

He explained on Twitter that he was only able to sign 6 total prospects over the whole season because of the investment into finding highly-rated guys with the right dealbreakers, and also because he located guys late that didn't have any offers.

You could do the same thing in NCAA14. Just wait until week 7, then search the database for highly rated guys who had zero offers and a very low interest % for some reason. You could sign all kinds of studs at any school that way.

The recruits with no offers thing was always wack and it seems they weren’t able to fix it ten years later :/

This is from the NTE video above from post #577. A few thoughts after watching it...

*He mentioned this was one of several dynasty builds he'd done and it was his only 5-star commit with a small program. So probably not super easy.

*The dealbreaker grades changing for recruits was pretty cool to see. Initially, a 3-star QB had a A+ playing time dealbreaker because his Kennesaw roster was bad but once he added some blue-chip QB's to his recruiting board that dealbreaker with the 3-star plummeted.

*The 5-star he got started out with offers from Kentucky and Florida as a recruit from Louisville. He spent all or most of his coaching ability coins on the quarterback subset of the recruiting, too. The proximity to home dealbreaker worked in his favor as other big schools didn't get involved, although the Louisville Cards never offering was weird/dumb. He also schedule the official visit with his other big targets.

*I thought it was important to note his first Kennesaw class was 6 recruits BEFORE early signing day. After the bowl game he was able to go hunting for guys in the portal and keep recruiting other uncommitted prospects on his board. Plus, he a decent season with small boosts to his program and he hired new coordinators before the portal opened for more recruiting boosts.

*He had 2 players leave (another he was able to convince to stay), added 8 more players from the portal/post-ESD stage, and he ended up over the scholarship limit by 7 and encouraging people to transfer out.

*You get to do coaching ability boosts again in the off-season and he again targeted quarterback play heavily with his new coordinator. The 5-star QB he signed ended up jumping from 78 OVR to 82 OVR as a true freshman.

My biggest takeaways from the video were that there are uncommitted and unoffered guys late in the process that can be cherry picked and that stacking things (recruiting hours/coaching abilities/dealbreakers/visits) on top of each other will be very powerful but as you progress through dynasty getting more well rounded in coaching will matter a lot more than just throwing so much to get just 1 recruit.

The Unoffered studs thing is the issue, just shouldnt happen or it should be explained why they dont have offers (injury history, character concern etc). As it is (and was 10 years ago), its very immersion breaking

I don't know, there are diamonds in the rough that coaches find all the time. Some players don't hit the camps and they end up being virtual unknowns. You can rationalize it that way. A lot of these players do end up getting recruited by the CPU, but they just end up missing the first few weeks because of recruiting limitations.
