I mean, I get has hasn't been Dan Marino but do bears fans actually think Mitch has been bad?? I'd consider him an average NFL QB right now with legit expected growth coming fast over the course of this season.

I don't think this.. Some talking heads do, but some are realistic. Haugh here in Chicago has had him on blast. I think the play calling is adjusting as well. 10 played good last season with what he knew from what he learned through the year. He is 2 games into a new offense and team. He will be fine.

There are 37 QBs who have thrown a pass in an NFL game this season. Trubisky is 34th in yards per attempt and has as many TDs as interceptions thrown. Average is giving him too much credit, I think.

I was far from impressed with his play Monday night. He has a ways to go to get to average. Then again, not very impressed with his supporting cast either.

Given the amount of money they are paying Mack, I would expect his supporting cast will not be very impressive for quite some time.

If I am interpreting correctly, it's also ranking him as the #31 quarterback so I don't know what to make of it.

I know this, the few times I have been able to sit and watch him I see a guy who could be pretty good. I see a guy that is already better than anything Chicago has had in a long while... I do get he hasn't lit the world on fire either though. I guess I'm saying I would be pretty optimistic about the future if I were a Bears fan.

What I am running into is that I'm not optimistic about the future given the prices paid to accumulate talent. I am getting more excited about the present so I'm hoping Trubisky can round into shape quickly.

Its actually not that crazy when you break it down.

The only starters IMO Mitch could even argue with RIGHT NOW are:

Tyrod Taylor
Sam Darnold
Bills QB Mess
Sam Bradford

Assuming hes better than all of them, that only puts at #28

This is where I am at with Biscuit - not a horrible place to be for a second year player but not where they need to be based on what Pops is saying. Can they keep this defense together for three years while they wait for Mitchell to grow up and before he is due his second contract (which will be huge if he is above average by then).

Now if he can get to average by year end they potentially have a good thing going.

Sorry but we own Arizona. This made the Georgian Invasion look like child's play.

Days like today make you proud to be a Chicagolander. First place baby!

And Khalil Mack... YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!

I think this offense needs to pull it's head out of it's ass. Trubisky is struggling, but I think he will continue to get better. The offensive line has really sucked the last 2 games though. Howard is getting zero help and Trubisky has been getting a guy in his face almost every drop back. Massie and Leno need to get their sh*t together. PFF be damned, they've been awful so far.

A win is a win though. This defensive front is insane. Secondary...needs work.

Hey Chicago,

The 80's called and they want their team back.

The Monsters are back. If the team that played today shows up every week, cancel the playoffs and give them the Lombardi Trophy.

And rename it the Halas trophy.

Yeah I know there already is one but still

Most fun i have had at a Bears game in years.. The stadium was electric.. And Chase Claypool was sitting in the row behind me a few seats down. I called him out real nice kid.. NO ONE had any idea who he was. Keep in mind my seats are 400 level, 20 rows up, just being a kid!

Trubisky is starting to get it.

I still think Nagy gets too cute with his play calling and he's still trying to figure out the run game. Still, this team should be unbeaten.

It will be interesting to see how they match up Sunday.

Stadium was on fire last night. Akiem Hicks is an absolute monster. The D is a lot of fun to watch. Not sure if they were showing it on TV but the game was real chippy. Good to see the Bears let the NFC North know we aren't the doormat anymore. Young, fast, violent squad.

Future is obvious. The present is not. Is this year a possibility or are they a year off? I want to say they need a little more time in the oven to learn how to win those close games but they are literally 3 plays away from being the '72 Dolphins right now.

Maybe these are my '84 Bears and the Saints or Rams will be play the role of Golden Joe and the 49ers. If so, see ya next year NFL... our time is a comin'.

I'm with you.. I think we are a year off. Need to extend Amos, and give Danny T a little incentive past next years contract.. Guy is a force. It is remarkable how fast this team is now. The defense was good last year and fun to watch, now they are elite. Almost everyone is 27 or under. QBs are on notice.

When you have an elite defense, anything is possible.

I think the Bears have the most ground to gain between the three. Trubisky and the offense is young and they're getting better. The defense is just ridiculous.

The Rams are an offensive juggernaut, but a lot of their games have been really close.

The Saints, I think you just gotta hope they cool off. I don't think anyone beats them right now.

I could see the Bears upending the Rams in LA, but unless the Saints lose steam, they may be enroute to a Super Bowl crown.
