Still dunno why Cleveland needed to send a 3rd with the 1st and Peppers. I understand why the Giants would make the trade, but I'm not sure the Gettleman tenure turns out.
Yeah, that's a lot of draft capital that carries a low hit on the budget. I hope OBJ tears it up in Cleveland. I'm really rooting for the franchise, it'd be great to see them rise to a playoff team for a few years.
I don't see it being that bad of a trade for the Giants. Losing a generational talent in OBJ sucks, but it doesn't set them back years like some are saying. I can see them taking Haskins at #7 and if he's still there Metcalf or Marquise Brown.

Cleveland essentially has OBJ signed on a five-year, $77 million pact with $19.5 million guaranteed, all but $2.75 million of which comes this season. From the Browns' perspective, his deal averages $15.4 million per season. He's owed $47 million over the next three seasons, which is less than Sammy Watkins -- an inferior wide receiver with far less of a track record -- received in unrestricted free agency last year.
I wont feel good about the OBJ trade until we get some safety help that is now glaringly needed.

Doesn't matter who plays safety for us if we continue to place him 30 yards off the LOS like we did with Peppers. Couldn't tell if he was any good because we didn't see him in the tv screen until the play was over and everyone was returning to their huddle. He didn't give up any big plays keeping everything in front of him...but we gave up tons of yards on short and intermediate routes over the middle. Was it just because he was slow? I don't know.
They did this much more his rookie season... didn't notice it as much this past year.
Eric Berry was just released by the Chiefs.

Shopping Ogbah it sounds like,... predictable I suppose but he'd be one of the better depth options out there at this point and Vernon has a history of injuries no? I'd keep EO unless they can get a high quality DB or LB for him, which I doubt.
After the Josh Gordon mess I can't wait to see what punishment the offices give Hunt... watch him get something that vastly outpaces any other comparable suspension.
