Spoken from experience? That would be so epic if LSU gets sanctioned to death and BK has to ride the burning ship to the ground. I’m not putting much stock into it though. Kinda like dumping your old lady who treats you right, for the hot girl that ends up having herpes.

Except in this ANALogy, the hot girl is a known slut that just broke-up with a dude nicknamed "leaky" because he always had a drip. That would be so epic if LSU gets sanctioned to death and BK has to ride the burning ship to the ground. Get his money but won’t be able to win that elusive Championship. Dudes already rich. I know there are a lot of people that think the money was the biggest motivator, but I don’t buy it. He went there because he fancies himself a better coach than Saban, and wants to play by the same rules so it is “fair”.I thought BKs contract was pretty iron tight for things like this. Iirc, if the AD gets canned his entire contract is guaranteed. So he could take another job and still get his $$ in the event big time sanctions come down.

I get the frustration of coaching at Notre Dame and being annoyed when other teams have dudes who are basically Forrest Gump (ironically, an All-American himself) while Notre Dame's idea of a dumb student-athlete is probably somewhere around me on the ACT/SAT spectrum.Get his money but won’t be able to win that elusive Championship. Yep. BK is going to win a lot of games at LSU. Whether he wins a title, I don't know. But he has spent 30 years building and running successful college football programs. Much better at that part than Orgeron or Miles. And look what they accomplished with the talent at hand in that state.Yea I think those hoping BK falls on his face aren’t going to get what they want. He knows how to run a successful program. The thing with him at ND was, everyone asked the question has BK taken ND as far as they can go? That answer I believe is 100% No. BK took ND as far as he was willing or able to take them. At LSU i think he can run the program the way he wants while not having to work as hard as he would have to get ND to that next level.
in the scenario discussed BK is likely no longer at LSU and the ability to win there is null and void.Get his money but won’t be able to win that elusive Championship. Dudes already rich. I agree, really our only hope is a culture clash like Joe Moorhead or something where the players don't respond to his form of coaching/recruiting. But obviously, he is doing a decent job trying to become someone from the Bayou. He has always been a good politician in that sense. He could talk to a room of teachers, a room of CEOs, and a high school football team in 3 consecutive meetings and never miss a beat.Les Miles and Ed O won at LSU. As much as it pains me to say old Baloney Tits Burnt Ends BK has a good chance of being successful at LSU.

I dont think so. Miles was able to adapt to the Louisiana community. BK will not. BK has always reeked of fakeness and arrogance. He wont fit into the culture well. Orgeron just wants not a very good coach and caught fire with NFL talent. When that talent left for the NFL, the team lived in the basement. There is too much talent in the SEC for BK to win week in week out. If you really think about it, when has BK ever been successful with any programs against the SEC? With Cinn, the team got destroyed playing FL. With ND, outside of LSU, he never beat a SEC team to my memory.Yep. BK is going to win a lot of games at LSU. Whether he wins a title, I don't know. Personally, I have never found BK a tier one coach even when he was ND's coach and I think most of you would really agree if you look back.

He didn't even coach that Cincy team in the game against Florida. And then we're excluding wins against Vanderbilt and LSU.I dont think so. Miles was able to adapt to the Louisiana community. Of course SEC recruiting is competitive, but before this year (when they only signed 15 kids) LSU has had a Top 5-ranked recruiting class seven of the last nine seasons. When it comes to acquiring talent, they get the ball with exceedingly good field position. The idea that BK will suddenly have all this SEC talent is not necessarily true. I understand that he won't have the same restrictions he had at ND and will be able to recruit athletes at LSU that he couldn't before, but they also won't just fall into his lap and beat his door down to sign with him. Recruiting in the SEC is competitive, to say the least. One of the issues Miles and Orgeron had was that they couldn't lock down LA talent. Saban, especially, consistently raided the talent in that state, and others pulled the occasional top player too. BK has a rep for not liking to recruit. He better get over that or he'll get run out of Baton Rouge. Recruiting down there is a 24/7/365 kinda thing and takes a LOT of work to keep up with the other major programs.
Yeah - and Orgeron is 5X the recruiter BK is...Of course SEC recruiting is competitive, but before this year (when they only signed 15 kids) LSU has had a Top 5-ranked recruiting class seven of the last nine seasons. Exactly. Yes, they lose out to Saban here & there but even BK will be able to pull most of the in-state talent. Most of those LA kids grow up wanting to attend LSU regardless of the HC. BK has to overcome his lack of recruiting acumen (vs Orgeron) w/ superior coaching by him & his staff.
