The only thing superior about LSU is their willingness to use lower educational standards and chew up and spit out their players. No worries about graduation rates as this is another one of the SEC meat factories processing athletes (not students) in their quest for a National Championship. Kelly got tired of the expectations while adhering to a different set of rules. At the same time ND football brings in a gold mine of money for the rest of the school. I get that but he has been one elite QB away from the big win every year. If ND had Joe Burrows we have the natty in 2019.

Look, it's obviously easier to win a natty at LSU than ND. That doesn't make it, especially what their last two years have looked like, a better job. The crazy part is, while their team in 2019 was awesome, without Joe Burrow transferring, Coach O might have been gone after that season. They were incredibly lucky for the dice to roll their way.

The last three guys to coach at LSU won National Championships. Two of them crashed out of the job, one in rather epic fashion.

Miami, Nebraska, Auburn cannot say this. I'm sure Kelly saw the dollar signs and the fact that Lester and Farmer Fran won titles there after St. Nick. Kelly probably feels he's a better coach than Lester and Fran, which would be tough to argue at this point.

I think what North Dakota is saying that, based on the "LSU has 3 national championships in the last 30 years and him leaving was an upgrade" means they are a superior program to ND. However, this would also mean Miami, Nebraska, and Washington are also superior programs since they have more titles than ND in the last 30 years.

I'll bite.

The year ND had the 14th class (which was 2020, not 2021), they had a higher average rating than 9 of the teams above them. The reason it was so low, was that we only took 17 recruits. You know, because we don't greyshirt, blueshirt, accept commits that have to go to JUCO for grades, and have a large amount of players that stay 4 and 5 years. That is the difference. That, and academic requirements, which you should know if you are a "ND fan."

LSU, three straight top 5s. Went .500 the last two years. Woof.

5 players from 2020 have already transferred out.

6 players from 2019 have transferred out.

Hard to be "so much better" when the program sucks.

Is it even "easier" to win a National Championship at LSU? They asked Keyshawn on ESPN Radio if Lincoln Riley would win one before Kelly and he said "yes." LSU has to beat Alabama and Georgia to even get a shot. Riley can quickly dominate the PAC. Although Keyshawn is an obvious USC homer, it's a good point. So with ND being in the mix and bringing in top classes, LSU is not necessarily an easier shot at the National Championship. Let Kelly beat Saban and then we can talk.
