Kelly recruited these guys, Kelly told these young men's parents he would take care of them, Kelly spent hours among hours practicing and traveling with them and the best he can do is spend minutes with them. That's Bullshit man. If you have beef with the admin and what they wouldn't do for you that's fine. But don't blow these guys off. They are half the reason you got your knew big contract because they did their part!

I doubt we'll ever know exactly what went down. Maybe he told them he'll plan on talking to them in private later. Who knows but I bet it's just he's that big of a dick yeah. Let's be honest..... The dude is an arrogant prick and has been since day one. He's a political science major that knows how to sell his BS.

tbh i am sure they do not care. This is not terribly uncommon. Just uncommon to ND since....lol our coaches don't leave for other schools.

Agreed. Let's just clear about what we're after though. The needs should be met and them some. The wants I could give a damn about. I think a lot of this arms race is just a lot of excess that at the end of the day isn't needed.

What is needed and necessary should be provided for. Without a doubt.

That goes for all athletes of all the sports and both genders. Get them what they absolutely need. It starts with football and giving that access to everyone.

I hope that we truly never know what went down—especially from some “leaked” audio that was secretly recorded. Those always make me super uneasy. Some things are supposed to stay private and sacred between those in the room.

It is a business decision - I do think Kelly did a good job of selling ND more than himself in rebuilding the program. I don't hate on the guy but I would love us to win it all and rub it in his face because at the end of the day I am vindictive and shallow.

This makes sense. Rumors amongst LSU fans is that Riley was offered $12M per season and he gave them a verbal agreement. Then Riley pulled out for SC when they upped the offer and threw in a house & a jet.

I kind of did actually... I never loved BK the way some respected posters like LAX or Whiskey seemed to but I never really voiced it fully here out of respect for them and others... not that I'm pulling some 'told you so' because I never fully spoke up on a lot of stuff that made me dimmer on BK than most but yeah, right from the start... then of course just weeks after I finally got all in he bounces... lol

I hear you. I always respected but never loved the guy. It's probably why I'm not even mad at him; just worried about the fallout.

I will say this though,..... I look forward to finally having a coach that can figure out the freaking QB position (No, I'm not forgetting DK, who was great).

If it's true that the Administration is not getting with the times because they don't see football as a priority I think we should try and start some sort of boycott before Christmas. I know I just spent $135.00 on two items at the bookstore a few days ago, and I'm not wearing ND jackets because they have an awesome business school or produce the best scientists. I'm not trying to shit on ND's academics or their business school....My father graduated from ND with a biz degree. I'm saying a large % of us don't rock ND gear and fly our ND flags because of anything more than ND football. So give these coaches what they need so we can all get a little return on our bookstore purchases....FUCK!!!

True, but I think (perhaps like Freeman right now), those guys have to consider the money they can make and the advancement of their careers versus the amount of shit they sometimes have to eat from their bosses.
