Pinstripe would be cool. Who would we play there in theory? The 2nd or 3rd team out of the AAC?

Would be a crazy game if it were 9-3 ND against 11-1 Louisville (assuming they slip up and finish 2nd).

it will be so lame if ND ends up playing Rutgers, UCF or Cincy. A matchup versus Louisville is our only hope of a decent opponent from that bowl lineup

If Michigan and Oklahoma keep winning, do we really look that bad at 9-3 if that other loss comes at the hands of a top 10 Stanford team? I would still give us an outside chance at a BCS bowl in that scenario.

10-2 we definitely are BCS bound as our ranking be Top 15 at year end.

ND will always be selected for a BCS bowl if they are eligible. If we work our way to eligible this year, we will have earned it. I just don't think there is more than a 10% chance of that happening.

Sun Bowl, I was stationed at Fort Bliss and been to a UTEP game or two. I missed the last time they were there.

Detroit in December haha would be awesome, would probably mean a high profile matchup against the might Central Michigan or Bowling Green!

Western Kentucky was there last year too...it would suck if we played a close game against Petrino in that bowl. They're also sitting at 3-2 with wins over Kentucky and Navy.

I would be down for anyother Sun Bowl honestly... great venue and it'd be nice to actually see the Sun this time around...

If we can get an Orange Bowl against and ACC team or Rose Bowl against a Big Ten team or something like that I'll take the BCS... but if it's yet another matchup against the best team not in the title game I'm cool...

The Sun Bowl is a much better bowl than the others though... I don't know the payouts for say the Belk Bowl... but a program hanging their hat on a Sun Bowl win goes a lot further than hanging the hat on the advocare bowl...

at least that's how I always saw it... maybe I'm caught up on the fact teh SUn Bowl has been around much longer... but I think it's more than just that.

Down here, no one from the ACC wants to go to the Sun Bowl. I don't even know what the Belk bowl is.

Sidenote: I always think it's funny how peps from upper South refer to their place as "down here" when I'm much further south than they are... just sayin.

It is funny. I don't even think about it. It just comes out.

I know. I have heard Tennesseans and Kentuckians say it too. Bit odd.

I live in the "Low Country" so technically I am about as down as can be (except for Nawlins)

Reminds me of that Bobcat Goldwaith skit where he was making fun of Southerners who think Florida isn't really part of the "South."

Trouble is, at 9-3 with the third loss at Stanford, we probably won't have beaten a ranked team. It'd be a tough case to make. 10-2 with an end-of-season win against Stanford, sure. But even at 9-3 our options are pretty grim.

And ACamp, outstate Missouri basically is the South. Though Columbia itself is not so much.

If its not BCS then we should just go to the Motor City bowl or Pizza Pizza bowl or whatever one is in Detroit so I can go watch and it'll only be a 2 hour drive.

Still holding out for the Pinstripe, but will be happy as long as the game isn't in Florida or Arizona. I've been to 13 bowl games, and every single one was in one of those two states. Time for a change!!!!!!

Champs is a good lower tier bowl, but I hate Orlando, and that stadium is a sinkhole, along with the area around it. My selfish reasons want this team somewhere more exciting.

For selfish reasons I would love the pinstripe bowl. I would definitely go as I live an hour away! Plus I'm a huge Yankees fan :)

Yeah, I guess basically I'm saying this is an 8-4 team and that level of bowl is one in which we could find success in. I'd rather not see another BCS massacre.

I'd rather see a different locale as well.

Cacky, you got that right. My high school class in Orlando had maybe three or four "natives" and that was simply because their NY, NJ, OH, IN, NE, IL, CA, RI, MA, etc. parents were still "ripe and randy."

While there are certainly pockets in Florida that are "Southern" they are overwhelmed by the populations in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, St. Petersburg, Orlando and many other cities.

I'd mention Cubanos, but they're more southern than the "Southeners."
