Every stock in my portfolio took a hit today and my crypto value was almost cut in half.

I'm not part of the tippy top that Biden and co. want to tax.

Thanks Biden, you fossilized f*ckface.

You're being too kind to ol Mush Brain!

We're all really sad you had a bad day on the stock market. Don't worry, that almost never happens so you'll probably not experience that again in your lifetime.

I'm sure it was Joe's fault. Just like the previous 4 years were Trump's.

But the camera was within 6 ft. of him ... so I suppose that he wears the damn mask regarding "social distancing"!

That picture looks like it's more than 6ft away. Besides the cameraman is behind the camera making him further away.

LOL!!! Joe, Joe, Joe. Can his handlers not do a better job of keeping him from doing stuff like this? It's almost as if they want him to make a fool of himself on a daily basis.

Can somebody get me a market update so I can appropriately calibrate my rage this weekend? Thanks!

I’ve flip flopped. The re-alignment is getting awkward.

Rich Americans Face Biden Tax Hike With Anger, Denial and Grief

The chairman of Signum Global Advisors wasn’t thrilled.

“Raising capital gains taxes hurts the capital markets,” he said in a text message. “Better to raise the personal top marginal rate and estate tax. Leave capital gains and dividends alone.”

Myers has raised funds for Joe Biden, and wasn’t shocked by the White House’s plan because it was part of the president’s campaign. But the donor doesn’t think that 43.4% rate will make it into final legislation.

As the plane descended, he added: “Over-taxing success is un-American.”

Yeah, sucks because this really shot a lot of the crypto momentum in the foot.

XRP and Doge were up big time and this news caused them to sink like a rock. I'm still up considerably on both, but it still really ruffles my jammies.

I'm sorry but you're complaining about ripple and dogecoin? One is a literal meme and entirely worthless in application. The other is one of the worst designed cryptos in existence and currently embroiled in a lawsuit with the SEC. Blaming Joe Biden for you choosing to gamble in two of the most volatile cryptos out there is next level projection.

IrishLax going to the well to carry water for Biden yet again!

The crypto stuff weirds me out in general. I have had this shit explained to me many times and it all goes right over my head.

Ohh yeah, a night of moderate radicalism. AKA a boring old man trying pass-off radical ideas under the guise of crisis, a never-ending pot of money, and racism.

I do look forward to Tim Scott's speech. Hopefully, the WAPO folks who thought his ancestors had it easy are watching too.

After reading the article, it sounds like he wants to spend a lot of money.

Big spending is definitely in the plan, but 2 things to keep in mind: 1) with interest rates, it's SUPER cheap money. Like, the best possible conditions imaginable to kick off large capital endeavors 2) It's his style historically to put something out there that everyone can score wins against and still survive. The final bill/law won't look anything like what's out there now, and that's probably intentional.

I do think he's going to run into some pretty big problems in 2022 and 2024 depending on what the GOP does. He's trying to spend an awful lot of money. I think the whole "moderate" label may wear out.

Watching Glenn Kessler eat shit on the Tim Scott thing was rather amusing.

Lol remember when Trump used a phony "border emergency" to take money from the military to give to politically connected contractors to build useless walls in middle of the desert?

Yes, that’s back when liberals were mad about kids in cages and the border was fairly secure.

Milton Friedman once said "There is nothing so permanent as a temporary government program". If the Republicans run against a lot of the popular programs or run on lowering the corporate tax rate/defunding the IRS... that won't go well. It's why we hear so much about woke capital and green eggs and ham.

Biden said a bunch of normal shit, and a couple things that are reasonably far to the left. Most of the initiatives Biden put forward should be bipartisan because they poll at 60%+ support. But the GOP is incredibly invested in painting him as "radical" and "socialist" and other scare words so they don't dare acknowledge that.

This is what America sees:[TWEET]https://twitter.com/CBSNewsPoll/status/1387602465286238213?s=20[/TWEET]

But Tim Scott went up there in his "response" and talked about a bunch of things that either 1) weren't in the speech or 2) where Scott had to straight up lie. No different then when earlier this week GOP leaders made up the "BiDeN iS cOmInG fOr YoUr HaMbUrGeRs" story and the lie about the government buying copies of Kamala's book for illegal immigrants. Just a wild strategy. It seems like putting out a platform that says "this is where we can work with Biden" with specific policy initiatives so that HE has to be the one to say no would be a lot smarter than being obstructionist on popular policies while simultaneously trying to convince people that the other side is the one that doesn't want to work together.

I’m more curious how many people even turned it on. I tried watching Braves/Cubs, tried watching basketball, then I just decided to catch up on house stuff. I’m sure it was all peaches and rainbows in the view of the left and just the opposite from the right.
