My wife and I have been watching a lot of music documentaries lately when I am home. We just finished the one on the Foo Fighters and I would highly recommend watching if you are a fan of their music. We have also watched the Eagles documentary and will soon be watching the one on Tom Petty!

Yeah Parks and Rec was great except it got too weird at the end. Just completed Peaky Blinders...liked that too.

Def a show near the top of my watch list... is it already 'done'?? I thought it was still going...

I think Peaky Blinders is done.

Season 5 is supposed to be out this year according to imdb. I just finished binging the first 4 seasons.

Peaky Blinders 100% has a Season 5. End of season 4 is obvious setup for it and believe it is already set for 5, at least, if not more seasons.

If you like Rockumentaries try "I am trying to break your heart"-Wilco. On netflix. Really good look at how music is made

Watching Babylon Berlin...same era as Peaky Blinders. Only three episodes in but I like it now that I've got used to the sub-titles. Good to hear the Peaky Blinders will have a fifth year...I thought that I read that it was over.

I watched one episode. That show is fucked up.

Anyone watching this Wild Wild Country documentary? I am blown away. Can't believe I had never heard about what happened.

I saw "The Outsider" (Netflix original) get released, and wanted to check it out. It got horrible reviews, so I didn't bother. Decided, last night, to give it a shot. It was a pretty damn entertaining movie.

Forget the PC nonsense you'll see posted. I found the "white savior" point of the story explained fairly well. This is coming from a guy who will never watch the recent release of "47 Ronin" because of the totally unacceptable white-washing of a true story.

Dwight's wedding
Dwight: "Michael....I can't believe you came."

Michael: "That's what she said."

Also

Michael: [crying] I feel like all my kids grew up and then they married each other. It’s every parent’s dream.

Dwight doing the "fire drill"...funniest 57 seconds of the whole series IMO. Had tears coming out of my eyes.

I'll go to my death bed defending Season 9 of The Office.

The Jim and Pam stuff was a bit forced, but it also gave us two or three top-10 episodes. I also thought the series finale was one of the better series finales that's been done.

Jim’s storyline was awful, redhead British lady was awful, two young intern dudes were awful. Most of the old characters were still great and made those episodes in Season 9 acceptable but pretty much anything unique to that season were epic fails.

Agreed. Salvaged (barely) only by the finale. Hard to not have the feels a couple times during that viewing. The rest of the season is long forgotten.

Bates Motel – SPOILER ALERT

For the 1-2 of you who might be interested, I finished Bates Motel last night. It felt like it was about a half season too long, but I thought it ended well. I was happy Dillon didn’t die or end up in prison; he was such a likeable character. Norman’s ending was appropriate. The only part I didn’t like is Alex Ramiro’s death was too quick for the buildup, and there’s no way an ex-Sherriff would turn his back to a threat, especially with a gun sitting in his back pocket. I liked the show much more than I thought I would.

I've finished the first 3 seasons of Peaky Blinders, and really like the show. The wife and I, will probably try and finish season 4 in the next week. I'd give it two thumbs up.

We also finished season 1 of Jessica Jones, and thought that was also pretty good. Though I've heard season 2 is not nearly as good, so we'll see how that goes.

I haven't seen the movies. Actually didn't even know there was a movie(s).

Don't know anything about the show but the Bates Family, and specifically, Norman Bates is the main character in the Psycho series. An old horror series, that started in 1960.

A quick google search, it sounds like it's supposed to be the "formative" years of the Norman Bates story.

I used to watch those with my dad growing up, he was a huge horror junkie. I'll have to see if I can get into the show.

You should watch Psycho, though you've likely already spoiled one of the greatest twists in film history for yourself.

That's the only off-putting content of the series, so to speak. Unless blood and gore gets to you, that 1st episode is the only one that "goes there".

Fired up for Roxanne Roxanne. This is Crusader's wheel house.

UTFO's Roxanne Roxanne might still be my fav HH song of all time and Roxanne's Revenge is the first female rap song that I can remember at least.

Will be interesting to see how they handle what was the first commercial beef.

It has to be good, Mahershala Ali's in it.

Is it similar to the movies?

It's not very similar -- it's much more of a drama than a horror show -- but it is pretty faithful to the characters and story of the original (haven't seen any of the sequels). It colors in Norman's backstory, from his first cracks to his break from reality. Most of the focus is on his relationship with his mother.

His half-brother eventually becomes a major character, too; probably as a result of the showrunner realizing the show needed a non-crazy character to kind of ground the show and lend a little positivity.

Santa Clarita Diet is fucking hilarious, and now I’m bummed I have to wait a year or more for season 3. Binged the first two seasons last week.

Olyphant and Barrymore play off of each other very well, and the writers did a phenomenal job of building the show’s humor. So many good one-liners and so much situational humor.

Can’t recommend it highly enough.
