Don’t come to this thread much. If you want to see how bad the drug problem is in the US watch the series “Dope”. I wasn’t really shocked but it is still interesting.

I was wanting to watch this so I'll give it a try.

Anyone else psyched for Altered Carbon? I've been reading breakdowns for almost 3-4 months, I really hope they pull it off.

"Dark" on Netflix. Watch it in the original German with subtitles.

Excellent so far!

5 episodes in, but the english voice over version. Would love the German subtitle version. How/where can I watch that version gkIrish?

You just changed the audio settings in Netflix. I watched episode 1 in German with subs, then went back and watched it in english audio. Stuck with the english audio as I was multitasking a lot of the time and couldn't have my eyes glued to the tv.

Been watching Parks and Rec lately. Never watched it on it's first run on TV or anything.

I thought the first season was meh. The second season was a lot better, and it seemed like the writers started to figure out the humor of the show.

The third season has been hysterical so far, and I think Rob Lowe might actually be one of the best parts.

During the flu episode, when everyone is sick with the flu, and Rob Lowe is in the hospital, and he looks in the mirror with the the most intense look and says to himself," STOP. POOPING." I absolutely lost it. One of the funniest one-liners I've seen, between the situation, the delivery, and the context of the character.

That show is so sneaky good. I think it'd get more pub if it weren't following "the office". The cast on Parks and Rec is great, and Ron Swanson is an all timer.

I've been watching "Bates Motel" lately. Before I knew it I was in season 3. Anyone watch? The Norman character is frustrating, but I guess that's part of the draw. It's not great, but it's pretty good. Kind of a "Blood line" feel if you were into that.

I watch very few shows... just sat down and watched the first few episodes of The Office for the first time over the weekend... pretty funny stuff, the diversity day one had me gasping for air.

Season 1 is the worst season, so if you got through it you're in for a treat.

Really?? I watched like the first 6 episodes or so... thought they were gold. Then over the last few days CC had random later episodes on that I thought were just okay, though that could just be bad luck. I'll def keep going through it, I thought it was funny enough to keep going for sure.

The later you get, the more contingent the humor is on really knowing the characters well. Definitely a show to watch in order.

Season 1 was legitimately bad, not just in comparison to later seasons. I can remember very few bright points of those 6 episodes. The next few seasons were very good, but then the hype overtook the actual quality of the show. Still good and enjoyable, but 30 Rock was always my cup of tea

For real?? I enjoyed the majority of all of them... highly... the basketball episode, diversity, hell Amy Adams was in a few episodes so what's not to like? I have no idea if she continues on in that bit role but still...

Never seen 30 Rock... I have a list of about 20 shows over the last 15-20 years I intended to watch and 30R isn't on it though so I doubt I ever get to it... to let you all know how bad I am with this stuff... I still haven't finished Sopranos...

Ohhh, my mistake, I thought we were still talking about Parks and Rec.

Ehh 30 Rock isn't for everybody. There are a ton of jokes per minute and it was generally unpopular, but I loved it.

Yeah never seen P&R either.... shockingly... only show/sitcom/story based/ whatever over the last 20 years I really kept up on that I can think of currently is South Park. I watch sports, cooking, and educational programs more often than not...

So anyone seen Bates Motel?

Watched through the 4th season with the wife. We both enjoyed it, especially the first couple of seasons. It can drag at times, but the overarching plot is pretty great. We've been meaning to finish the last season, but the first few episodes of that season were really slow, so firing it up has felt like a bit too much of an investment than we've been up for lately.

I don't think season 1 was too bad ACamp. I loved the awkwardness of Diversity Day, and Basketball really shows us Jim and Pam. It is, however, the worst of the first 4 seasons though. I do think season 9 was the worst (last season). When you go through the whole series, I feel like Kevin just ends up getting too dumb, just one of my complaints.

Lion mentioned Parks and Rec. Super great show. Very smart writing. I just started rewatching it with my GF (getting her into it). I forgot how different season 1 is compared to later seasons. Leslie is much more like Michael Scott in the first season, and that is almost frustrating

Not on Netflix, but USA's Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and Biggie is ridiculously good, imo. Marcc Rose looks identical to Pac. (He had a cameo role in Straight Out of Compton). It's scary how much he resembles him from looks to mannerisms and, occasionally, his voice. Well written, well cast, great sound track. Worth your time if you were ever into that genre growing up in the 90s.
