I watched both shows and agree with everyone else that it didn't quite live up to the bar I have set for Chapelle.

Speaking of Dave...and OJ....

I started watching American Crimestory today. I was 11 when that shit with OJ happened. I remember two things: the "chase" and the verdict. I'm thoroughly enjoying it right now. Currently sitting about 4 episodes in.

Just watched Turn series 1 and 2. It has great reviews so I gave it a chance. Loved it.

It's about the Culper spy ring in the revolutionary war. They did a great job keeping it relevant and mostly accurate. Based on a book a few years back that also had excellent reviews on Amazon.

Watched the original series Love and really enjoyed it. The second season just came out so it popped up at the top of my page and while I'd normally skip over a series named Love, I recognized Gillian Jacobs and upon further inspection, discovered it's one of Judd Apatow's projects. It's a relationship show, but the characters and writing made it quite enjoyable. Not usually my genre, at all.

IMDB describes the show as, "A program that follows a couple who must navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment and other things they were hoping to avoid."

Good candidate for a date night / show to watch with your lady friends and actually enjoy.

True or false, you stayed up to watch the royal wedding back in 2011

Hell to the nah... Scottish brah...

True story, my wife started watching it (She actually DOES love anything royal family) and when I learned what the topic was I was like, "Hell No," then I walked in about ten minutes later, saw the portrayal of Winston Churchill (John Lithgow) and was sucked in...

it's a very well made series.

Netfilix has about 20 various old episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on right now and coming April 14th (I think), they will have NEW episodes.

Great show!

Not on Netflix but the Starz/BBC show The Missing is pretty good.

Edit: I recommend it if you can get past the accents. You can watch just about any show on Alluc so if you don't have Starz (which I doubt anyone does) you can watch it from there.

If Netflix, Kodi, Amazon, whatever would get History's Mysteries or even Mysteries at the Museum (a decent enough and similar enough show) I'd binge watch the shit out of that... I'm forever trying to find box sets or anything on Mysteries... one of my Kodi channels has every season sitting there with place holders but they're all empty... it was an epic tease/troll job on their part, I got super hyped only to have nothing there.

Wonder Years
History's Mysteries

two greatest shows ever.

I was the same way. Wife was all about it and it didn't seem to interest me a ton but caught a bit of it and I was hooked. Very good show

Has anyone watched the Oklahoma City bombing documentary on Netflix yet? I was way too young to really know anything about the bombing as it was happening. I just always assumed it was done by the Taliban, Al Queda, or someone else in the Middle East (stereotyping, I know). But after watching it, I have a better understanding how effing delusional and nut the white supremacists and neo-Nazis are.

I'm an old enough fart to remember this, but your comments are interesting to me. It reminded me that there is a large part of our country that are like you and too young to remember this tragedy. So all they've seen are Islamic terrorism. But until 9/11, this was the worst act of terrorism on US soil ever, and was committed by a white dude from Oklahoma.

It wasn't just Oklahoma City that I didn't know about either. I also had no idea what had happened at Ruby Ridge and Waco, which led to the act of terrorism in OKC. The "the government is out to get me and take my guns" group was interesting to me. I mean, you illegally have fully-automatic weapons and SBRs; what do you expect the ATF is gonna do? Lol

If you guys ever get the chance, check out Ricky Gervais' lineup of shows that are on Netflix. The Office, Extras and Derek. Well worth the watch. Maybe you already have, but I chatted with some colleagues at work and no one had seen those. Must see, in my opinion.

Terrorism had a different meaning at that time. I still remember when the Patriot Act was passed to thunderous applause and all I could really think about was how the nebulous definition of terrorism in that bill could be used against anyone and all of us. I will never think of that Act as anything but the almost total abdication of our Bill of Rights.

It truly was a surreal time with them and the Attorney General's office.

As an aside, I unfortunately can't think about them and not think of this old, pertinent joke:
Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? You would be too if Janet Reno was your dad.
