Has anyone seen "The OA" ?

What a great show. I binged it the last two nights.

Binged it the first weekend it came out. Loved the first couple episodes. The second half of the season meandered and got a little silly IMO.. The movements stuff.... and then the ending ... Not bad, but not great.

Give "The Kettering Incident" a shot. Binged that over the weekend. Thought it was much better than the OA. If you watched the Night Manager, and liked Elizabeth Debicki, you'll love her in The Kettering Incident.

Just watched it. The whole dance routine was so weird, I could never take that part seriously. Other than that, really interesting.

You should check out bloodline. It's a drama, not sci-fi-y, but it's good if you're looking for a new show.

Bloodline season 1 was incredible. Season 2 was good too, but Season 1 was one of the best series seasons I've seen in a long time. Mendelsohn and Chandler were amazing.

Hmm, I thought season 1 was great, and halfway through season 2 it was OK, but I thought season 2 really picked it up towards the end, and I ended up liking both a ton. The cliff hanger at season 2's end, oh my.

What is Shameless about? I read the IMBD synopsis, and they basically say it's about a family without a mother and with 5 kids trying to make it.

I mean, that's basically the gist of it. Southside of Chicago, poor, dad is an alcoholic and a druggie. The kids are trying to survive on their own basically.

Really good show.

Medici: Masters of Florence

Great series. Binged the first season and they set it up for an awesome season two.

I binged OA opening day and made it to Episode 7 but my interest level was waning. Had to go pick up Mama from the airport and as soon as she settled in, it was over to Amazon for Season 2 of Man in the High Castle which released on the same day. Need to finish off OA at some point.

Oh I liked season 2, I just found 1 hard to top. Also missed a certain character.... Jacked for season 3!

That is my next one.Planned on doing a few episodes in the evenings this week, and the rest this weekend. Might not get through it all with the Bowls getting better this week, but that's my plan.

Sense 8 and Black Mirror are on my list too. Black Mirror gets great reviews. Seen either of those?

Really looking forward to the new Netflix series "Dear White People" due out in 2017.
And yes, it's really a show...

Loved it. Dark and great acting by Enos. Loved Kinnaman's character too. If you watch and like it, check out "The Fall" too. RTE1/BBC production if you like those, and pretty dark too.

It received mixed reviews but I really enjoyed it.

You should really watch Episode 8. It really makes the rest of the show more interesting in retrospect. The last twenty minutes are mindblowing in a way.

I did like the Night Manager but not her character all that much. I'll check out The Kettering Incident though.

Been watching this an episode or two at a time over the last month. Really great show. Very funny.

I watched S1 of Bloodline and liked it a lot. I will get to S2 eventually. I typically don't binge watch multiple seasons at a time.

Forgot to mention, Gillian Anderson is in The Fall.

The Fall Seasons 1 and 2 were awesome. S3 E1 was a bit weird so I've paused for a bit but I will get to it eventually.

I'm literally in the middle of 8-10 different shows right now because it's hard for me to focus on one after the binging the first season. I am weird.

I think you will like her more in TKI. The show does a great job of character and story line building (very consistent IMO). As much or more drama than science fiction IMO which is what kept me watching.

LOL.... Trying to keep up on current network/cable shows and binging Netflix/Amazon can be challenging. I limit myself to 1 Netflix/Amazon, sometimes 2 at a time. Not caring about CFB, NFL, or NBA right now, so more time to binge. A lot of cable/network shows are on break now as well, so will likely binge a few seasons of something this week.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Luther yesterday. Elba is great. Good stuff all around. Love Ruth Wilson (also in The Affair).

Has anyone watched the two Chapelle specials yet?

Yes. Not the greatest, but definitely funny and worth the time.

Good enough to make me sad that he doesn't have a show these days, in order to take on the racial, gender, and general PC issues we see today.

Yeah, I watched the Austin special this weekend. Agree that it fell short of his best work, but was still quality entertainment for any Chappelle fan. I'm looking forward to the next one.
