We are Stanford's biggest fans until the last game of the season.
I hope they lose every game they have left.
At 10-2 we'll go to a BCS game, no matter what IMO.

You guys have to realize that conference games are just picking up now, and there will be a lot of top 25 teams beating one another.
It happens every year.
A 10-2 ND team will not be left out of a BCS game.
Heck..an 9-3 Irish team might get some BCS love..folks know ND fans will travel..ND also = ratings.
How the **** does ASU have more votes than us in the AP??
If ND can take care of business and not win sloppily, the next few weeks will take care of themself. In case you haven't seen them, Baylor is good...really good.

I take it you missed their game against K State
1. People think we suck because perception is reality. Why is LSU who has one "meh" quality win over Auburn and two losses to unranked teams ranked 13th while we're unranked with losses to 1-loss Oklahoma/Michigan and wins over MSU/ASU? How can anyone explain Miami... who barely beat horrible Florida on sheer dumb luck and should've lost to UNC this week... being ranked ahead of Baylor who is just roasting their competition? Polls are the worst thing ever. And football -- the most important college sport -- is the only one where they matter at all. And not only do they matter, they are the end-all be-all. Ridiculous.
2. ASU is good. Really good. They just spanked the living hell out of Washington and their only losses are to Stanford and us. Their offense is incredibly explosive. If they were in the SEC, they'd be ranked something ridiculous like 15th at worst.
Right now there are a clear top 3 teams and then #4 to #30 have very little separation at all. So polls will continue to be silly until people stop circle jerking the SEC and there is some separation in the other power conferences.
I think Baylor is the real deal, but it will be interesting to see how they perform on the road this season. So far, the only game they 'struggled' in came on the road to KSU. They have been absolutely dominant at home though. Fortunately for them they play Oklahoma and Texas Tech at home before going on the road @ OK State and TCU.

Still have no idea how we beat ASU. I mean, we really shut down one of the most prolific offenses in college football... and more than that, an offense that is designed to play to our weaknesses. Insane performance that people don't realize how good it was because ASU is underrated by pollsters. The only explanation I have is Shamrock Series magic.
We have to have blow out wins over Air Force and Navy in order to have a chance at getting a BCS game IMO. I mean total domination, running up the score.
This is simply not true. Take a look at the final BCS poll from last season. 9 of the top 14 finished the regular season with at least 2 losses, and two of them (Clemson & FSU) had a significantly weaker SoS than we'll have this season.
There's no need for hand-wringing over MoV or our opponents' W/L record. No 10-2 ND team will finish ranked outside of the top 14. Full stop. If we win out, we're going to a BCS bowl.

Agree. But some of the Irish posters don't need to look past BYU. I am sure ole BM will have his team prepared. He usually does.
In all due respect Whisky, I currently see an unranked ND team in week 9 with 5 games left, 4 of which are against rather weak opponents.
Could you be right that a 10-2 ND team will be NOT be left out of a BCS game? Sure, I will concede that point, if you are also willing to concede to my point that providing high quality wins (blow outs) over inferior opponents would be advantageous for ND as a hedge against a potential sinking SOS.
And to be honest, I just want to see some good o'l a$$ kicking by ND for once.![]()
Honestly, I wouldn't call BYU or Pitt weak opponents. They aren't top 25 teams, but they are respectable.
