BCS Rankings: 2012

Oregon wins this week and we will fall back to #4. Our computer ranking will keep falling too with BC and Wake after that. We need USC to pick it up.

Here's the thing, the "pollsters" already have Oregon and K State ranked ahead of us. If all three teams win out what is going to make them change their minds and move us ahead? We can't just win, we have to crush these teams the next three weeks. Right now we are so high because we are tied for #1 in the computer polls. That will likely fall in the next couple weeks because of our opponents in the next three. We need help from the teams we have already played and it would really be nice if USC could beat Oregon.

How often does a team go from outside top 25 preseason AP to a NCG?

ND is the only team to beat 4 top 25 teams. K St.'s biggest win came in a close game at Oklahoma. How can they have them higher than us? Who else do they play? Ridiculous.

Whipped ranked Texas Tech and ranked West Virginia. The freaking B1G is what is hurting us with human voters.

In a perfect world, Oregon getting beat by USC would ideal. Alabama still has a tough road and they are not unbeatable. Kstate, to be honest I have no idea what they have ahead of them. But, if Oregon, Kstate and Bama win out, what can you do? Its not going to matter if you lose a game or oregon and bama win out. So therefore, control what you can do, and thats WIN. We know the BCS system is flawed, there isn't any doubt, but you can't control that either. Just go 12-0 and we will all sit here and watch the show.

West Virginia doesn't deserve to be ranked though, and Texas Tech will fall off like usual. Texas Tech is always good for one huge win before they go 7-5 or 8-4.

Agreed but thats not the way this team is built. Its built to play great defense and win 27-0 and 30-13...I want a NC birth it as bad as the rest of us, but if its Oregon.....I will say this...ND has been relevant in the NC talks how many times in November out of the last ten years?

Down the road, combine this level of defensive play with an experienced offense (Golson as a veteran and the speedy skill positions players like GA3, Daniels, Brown, Neal, etc.) and we should be blowing out the little guys like 50-3 every time.

Oregon scares the **** out of me if I were anyone....Its tough to tell how good they cause they haven't played anyone but every week they are scoring 71 every week it seems like. They also still have to play USC, Oregon state, and stanford. Lot of time left to lose. I would prefer to play alabama or kstate rather than oregon.
