Baylor just cancelled all media availability until game week...
What is the back story the with Baylor... what changed? Growing up I had teachers who went to Baylor and they would talk all the time about how small and insignificant their sports were but at least they did it the right way... great academics, all that stuff... Did they get a new President or AD or both... what brought on the change from academic school to a more win at all costs kind of mentality? It had to be something specific.

Worth mentioning that Baylor is private, Baptist and very conservative. So Briles probably felt pressure to distance himself from the situation given the school's values.

Shawn Oakman was arrested on sexual assault charges earlier this month, but a Waco Police Department report obtained by Rivals.com’s Alex Dunlap uncovered another disturbing alleged incident involving the former Baylor defensive lineman.
On Jan. 10, 2013, a Waco police officer responded to an assault claim, with Oakman’s name given as the assailant.
Dunlap posted the three-page incident report on Twitter Monday:
Dunlap added that Baylor knew of the report but didn’t discipline Oakman, who played his first of three seasons for the Bears later that fall.
In February, ESPN dropped a damning story on Baylor’s pattern of ignoring sexual assault allegations, and followed that with a report the university didn’t investigate a sexual assault claim against two former football players.
Former Baylor defensive end Sam Ukwuachu in August was sentenced to 180 days in prison after being found guilty of the rape of a former Baylor soccer player. In 2014, former Baylor player Tevin Elliott was sentenced to 20 years in prison for two counts of sexual assault against a former Baylor student.
If Baylor indeed knew of the 2013 police report involving Oakman and did nothing about it, it would fit with the alarming reports that the university consistently ignored serious allegations involving violence against women.
