LOL I mean if this is actually how the majority of people here feel, I would willingly walk away from this site. NO ONE is as bad as he is.

That's just the thing- some people make it impossible to relax because they put themselves above the other users - enter koon. Or, in this case, exit...

All I'm saying is that in retrospect, its just an internet forum so people shouldn't get all up in arms about what somebody says behind a computer screen while they sit in their office or couch...or couch in their office.

I think that everyone on here brings something to the table whether good or bad. Not everyone is going to get along either, but even then that is ok. There just has to be rules and when they are broken there has to be consequences. I really enjoy reading what everyone has to say and just for an examlple of differing views, I like both Koonja and LA very much. They are not the biggest fans of each other, but for me, I appreciate what they bring to the table individually. As far as any of us go on here, whether an idiot or not, you are still our idiot and that is all that matters;) and no, I am not calling anyone an idiot just to make that clear lol.

I enjoy reading the off-season banter if all we have here is just ND news this board is less fun. It's fun watching mad at each other and that's why Koon will be missed.

Yeah, I do remember TT came to me and Goshen out of nowhere and asked us to help... I 'think' the Queens thing happened literally in my first week on the job, I didn't even know who queens was at hat point ( shows my naivety walking into this thing not even knowing the other mods)... It was a pretty rude awakening id say... I believe that's the 'sewer' era some refer to, I honestly don't know or remember who were the other mods with TT and queens back then ( who we replaced) but I can def say, despite my efforts with giveaways and increasing traffic, and Goshens in cleaning up the recruiting threads, we needed a lot more help...

Really miss my pms and efforts with Jimmy...

You can prob find them ( the threads) in a title search, we gave away A&E ND box sets, we gave away Ken Burns baseball box sets for spring training ( all attached to specific contests) a number of t shirts and other things here are there...IE was falling apart when my era of mods took over, that was one of our ideas to turn things around.

That's awesome bro! I am an advocate of bringing back the giveaways. Whether it is guessing the score or records for the season or just because, it sounds like fun. Who doesn't like free shit?

Won't speak for Sherm... but
Doubt anyone thinks Koon didn't deserve some time off. Personally I think 6 months is overdoing it, but I don't pretend to know the whole story. I also think the mods have a tough job, so at the end of the day, I have to trust.

Jimmy (GoshenGipper) was absolutely beloved and was regarded by all as just a great guy. Crazy thing is that I teach at the middle school he attended, so I teach with people who taught him, and others who went to school with him (it's a smallish community). My room is filled with Notre Dame stuff...he would have been in heaven in there lol.

I take the country roads on the way home, and every day I pass a small sign that dedicates a stretch of the road to his memory. I always say I'm going to stop and take a picture of it and post it here for the old-timers to see. Gotta do that this week.

Word. I'm actually one of the few that likes the Koon and his nonsense. He is entertaining and will be missed IMO.

Just my two cents but I'll take quality over quantity every day. Some guys' number of posts on here make me wonder

1) what kind of job does he have?

2) does he have any social life/ get laid??
