I probably had 10,000 posts in by then. We're not talking about professoring here, it's a website... You don't think 10,000 posts is enough to give someone the chance to explain/correct themselves when after 10,000 posts they make ONE bad comment that was taken the wrong way?

I (or any member) that has 1) long tenure and 2) zero history of said-behavior at least deserves the courtesy of 'Hey dude, not cool. Explain yourself, you could get banned for that'... before an automatic ban (first permanent, then reduced, btw).

Bullshit. It was always temp. There is a bug in the system that when you assign 3 points for an infraction and set duration it defaults to an indefinite perma-ban. Every single mod will back me up on this.

This is the most absurd psychologism I've read on here in awhile. And that's really saying something. It takes an absolute mind-fuck to believe what you just said.

You actually believe that his "funny joke"... which was the frankly stated post Koon quoted on the previous page about Yeargin being a big loss while chastising other members of the board... was such that when called out on it, he warped from a position of joking to be funny, to a position of outright trying to vehemently defend a position that he doesn't actually believe as if it was a seriously held belief. And this serious of actions doesn't make hi ma troll.

Hate to break it to you, but arguing a point of view you don't actually believe as if you did believe it is literally the text book definition of internet trolling.

Maybe past the point of people calling him out he was trolling because he continued. But when he came onto the board and compared Yeargin to Williams he was not trolling he was making a joke at the expense of all the people that were gushing over Yeargin.

Earlier in this thread you characterized it as trolling because he didn't like any ND recruits but then after they decommit he fell in love with them. Except that post was a joke making fun of the other posters losing their minds.

I've never been well liked on here. That's not new or old. I've always spoke my mind (anti sheepish), never insulted anyone, nor told them their opinion is garbage.

I have strong opinions sometimes, I air them, and I accept others opinions. I don't shy away from and topic, and some people take disagreements too seriously.

But that's neither here nor there. I was anything but racist, and the aforementioned banning was anything but fair considering all of the above, IMO.

Except that it WAS racist as written, and you tried to retro-justify that you "forgot italics" in making a race joke, and a short temp ban is standard operating procedure for something like that.

95NDAlumNM was very longtime poster who made a racist post. I forget which mod did it, but he was perma-banned on the spot.

You can keep trying to rehash old "injustices" and make up your own facts but you've never been treated unfairly on here.

Hold on here Lax. We all know that koon has the reps to back up how cool he is. Because he hates to break it to us mods that he does not care about the board enough to care about how many reps he has but if we did want to confirm how cool he was, we, the mods could check his rep points, you know, for reference and such.

And I will confirm that prior to the Admiral Backhand saga and NJNP, Koon was single handled involved in 70% of the reported posts.

The point of a troll is to get people pissed off at them. For example if i went into the ferguson thread and said "These rioters are a bunch of animals that need to be put down." Now of course i do not believe that, it would simply be an attempt to piss people off. For a troll seeing everyone get outraged is entertaining and the purpose of their whole post. They are not trying to entertain other posters, they just find other posters anger funny.

Now if i went into the BVG is a gangster thread and posted that "we should promote BVG to HC since BK is now being courted" i would be making a JOKE. Even though i also dont believe this post my intention is to make other users laugh not to troll them. My expected reaction would be lol's or other jokes, not people coming after me telling me how stupid my opinion was, when clearly i was joking in the first place.
