I tend to prefer the true West Coast IPAs and the Avery IPA isn't one. But it's still quite good.

I gave him a week off. It ruffled a lot of people the wrong way, there were a number of complaints.

Ironman went through and cleaned up the comments. They weren't heinous, just very racially charged and over the line. He said "he's black and from Texas, sign him up"... frankly, there is no room to be evaluating people in any way - positively or negatively - on skin color. That's just not really acceptable.

I understand that the line seems arbitrary, and it can be hard to draw the line sometimes. But this really isn't one of those cases.

Joking about Wes Welker is just that... a joke. And it's mocking analysts more than anything.

Saying "he's black... sign him up" or any variation of that (he's black, don't sign him up or he's white, don't sign him up or etc.) is just not acceptable. Where is the joke? Even in italics, it comes close to crossing the line as I still don't see where the "joke" is. It's simply a racially charged comment without apparent comedic value or reason, and it justifiably bothered a lot of people.

Just use your best judgement.

@Pat - I've been to Avery's more times than I can count. You would hate them. Bunch of flip flop wearing, tree huggin', peacemongerin', hippies. I love them on the other hand.
