I'm not into cancel culture, but when Iowa athletics asks citizens to pay the bill for their issues, it will no doubt rub a lot of Iowans the wrong way.

Look at LSU a fews years ago with the state. Louisiana was having all kinda of short falls for with money and gave LSU all kinds of money.

I'm into consequences. Most regular people like us face them. Ferentz has won football games at Iowa than anyone else, so he doesn't have to. Truth? Your tax dollars have been at work long before this settlement.

Ferentz hires relatives to insulate himself, he's had significant periods during his tenure as HC where multiple players have been arrested (including 18 in 14 month span), he had the Section 8 Housing scandal where one of the players living in public housing was his own son and the program has had more than its fair share of players involved in sexual assaults.

Maybe if they have catastrophic enough season they'll fire him, but he seems to have a status that allows him to keep his job no matter what so long as they keep winning enough games.

Dude's guessing for clicks. Biggest problem is thinking the SEC will only go after 2 schools in the next round. The SEC is 100% going into VA and NC.

The B1G is taking UNC, UVA & the crown that is ATL via GT. This is done. FSU is trending towards AAU behavior. Someone from FL is joining the B1G, who remains the question.

No ASU is not an AAU institution... yet. But they've got 5,000,000 reasons to be in the B1G and ASU's President Michael Crow is turning ASU into a research monster. There's only one non-AAU school that generates more research $$$ and ASU outpaces many current AAU schools in that data point.

Cal, Duke & Oregon are on the outside looking in.
