I was going to create a thread for discussion of next week's B1G Championship Game between MSU & OSU, but decided to make it generic B1G thread instead and just start off with that game.

Who do you think will win MSU or OSU and why.....

Or talk about anything else B1G related....go!

MSU wins because there has to be a SEC team in the NCG. And I like to think the only reason MSU won't make it there is because of us.

Pulling for Sparty, but I think at +5.5 Ohio State is the deal of the century. Bucknuts wins by 14-21 and it won't feel that close. Stack the box and make Cook beat you with his arm. Not happening.

I would love to see the BCS era end with a Duke and Sparty win, culminating in an all-SEC championship game. The lunatics that would bring out........

Hmmmm, MSU all the way.

O$U has had a ridiculous run, and it's time for them to be exposed.

Best that it happens to a team from their own miserable conference.

Though one more game of grand illusion, then an awful coming-out-with-reality performance in the title game could be fun...

The fall is waaaay overdue.

MSU has a good D. You don't think they keep OSU at a reasonable number to at least keep it close?

Thoughts on Urban not suspending Hall for the B1G championship game? Gets booted from the game and proceeds to flip off 100k fans on national tv.

Valid point. The defense will need to create turnovers that will give the offense manageable options to score. I wouldn't be surprised to see it come down to an interception. OSU will need to throw well to win. Is MSU healthy on D?

I don't know who has a worse conference... the ACC or the Big Ten or the Big 12. I'm most inclined to say the B1G is the worst.

The problem with the B1G is that everyone is bad to differing degrees. OSU has a horrible defense, but a good offense. MSU has a good defense, but a pretty poor offense. Those are the only two position groups in the entire conference that can be considered as nationally relevant or "good."

There are zero complete teams. Most legitimate teams would be undefeated against OSU's pathetic schedule. Heck, Notre Dame even with Rees and all of the injuries would almost surely have won at least 10 games against their schedule. OSU played #21 Wisconsin... Notre Dame played #7 Stanford, #10 MSU, #11 ASU, and #18 Oklahoma. That's right... FOUR TEAMS THAT ARE BETTER THAN THE BEST TEAM OSU PLAYED.

If this was lacrosse or any other NCAA sport that weighted SOS, OSU wouldn't even be in the top 5 right now.

Strongly agree.

This all stems from pollsters overrating Ohio State early and then refusing to recognize or admit how bad the Big Ten is and how weak the OSU schedule has been. Just the way pollsters are hesitant to rank an undefeated MAC team or Boise State in the top ten (as they should be; hell, I'd have them even lower than the teens, where the pollsters put them), pollsters need to recognize weak conferences and scheduling and let it affect their rankings. OSU had three weeks of 7-10 point wins over overrated conference teams, like Wisky and Northwestern, and they didn't drop at all.

They should not be any higher than 6 or 7. I know a lot of people hate the SEC, but OSU would have two or three losses in the SEC, assuming they played three out of Bama, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina or A&M.

Can't say it any clearer than this. Their competition is butter soft. I don't follow any OSU boards, but are there any OSU fans genuinely aware of and willing to acknowledge the reason they are seeing such success?

I know a lot of Ohio State fans and, as a group, they are the most shameless, blind irrational homers I've ever seen. These are people who cheer/standing O/honor Jim Tressel, even after he fronts for a scandal that results in NCAA sanctions. Utterly without a moral conscience when it comes to college football. (Otherwise, they are fine people, btw.)

So.....the answer is no.

(I actually have one friend who thought, before yesterday, that they should be ranked down, maybe one spot. He also agrees they play sad OOC competition and should beef that up. But he's the exception, holding onto only an emanation of a penumbra of rationality.)

My buddy sent me a pic of Hyde flipping the bird to the crowd. Hyde was apparently yelling "Fuck Blue". Hell Braxton miller was in the middle of that fight, trying to rip a dudes head off. Urban is a POS hence his team is full of POS players...

But I hear what you're throwin' down. I'm not really that concerned with the brawl. In fact, I mentioned that I really didn't like the "friendly demeanor" of our team this week.

Yeah I have no problem with anything Ohio State players did yesterday. It's the most intense rivalry in sports. It's not like Hall went into the stands. He flipped the ol' double bird to fans who were more than likely doing the same to him. Big deal.
