I don't know who has a worse conference... the ACC or the Big Ten or the Big 12. I'm most inclined to say the B1G is the worst.
The problem with the B1G is that everyone is bad to differing degrees. OSU has a horrible defense, but a good offense. MSU has a good defense, but a pretty poor offense. Those are the only two position groups in the entire conference that can be considered as nationally relevant or "good."
There are zero complete teams. Most legitimate teams would be undefeated against OSU's pathetic schedule. Heck, Notre Dame even with Rees and all of the injuries would almost surely have won at least 10 games against their schedule. OSU played #21 Wisconsin... Notre Dame played #7 Stanford, #10 MSU, #11 ASU, and #18 Oklahoma. That's right... FOUR TEAMS THAT ARE BETTER THAN THE BEST TEAM OSU PLAYED.
If this was lacrosse or any other NCAA sport that weighted SOS, OSU wouldn't even be in the top 5 right now.
