One thing i know is to not try to compare scores too much. Im not scared of Michigan. Im not overly confident about the game but we will be fine

I hope you're right....and even if Gardner had a couple of ints, he's better tan Temples QB.

Lets hope we clean it up.

I think that's why BK asked, "What are you doing?" Seriously, why throw it to fuller on a fade rather than Robinson, who also had man coverage on him? Small sample size but that seems to be the issue with him...

Yea he clearly has no idea what he's doing.

I don't think we looked our best but correlating scores from two different games makes zero sense. There are so many factors that go into that it becomes irrelevant.

I actually thought Temple's QB was pretty darn good.

ill be honest, I thought he did too. He handled pressure well, got quick accurate passes out, heck he could have had more, but the WRs had a few drops. I think the biggest thing was that he could read defenses very well. Not gonna lie, I am interested to see how he does this season. He could put up some big numbers against lesser teams (equal to his).

Agree. I think he was my biggest surprise of the game. He had a lot of pressure riding on him. First start of his career playing a team like us. He passes to what, 10, 11 receivers? Picked up corner blitzes. Held up well when rushed and was pretty accurate. He may well be one of those guys that, given a decent few years in college could open a few NFL scouts eyes.

Just got back from the game. I thought he was pretty decent too. He threw the ball an awful lot compared to how the team played under Steve Adazzio last year. I expected they would try to implement a new game plan to throw us off anyway. It's easy for a team to break in a new offense in the first game because theres no previous film for the opposing team to scout ahead of time. In that respect, we had a tough job preparing for this game. Diaco made sure we didn't really give up the big plays though, and we do what we do: give up the little stuff underneath and gave up just one score in the red zone. I'll take it!

My impressions on our team, starting with offense:
Davaris Daniels had a small groin pull according to Kelly, but man he looked great when he was in there. They expect him to be 100% by Michigan, they said he probably could have stayed in tonight if they needed him. I like the fact they tried out their freshmen instead.
TJ really came alive, BK called him dynamic. He made catches in the slot and picked up huge chunks after the catch. I really like him playing inside as oppose to outside.
Amir Carlisle showed his speed on that first run, really set the stadium alive from the start. I liked what I saw when he was in.
Cam was great carrying the ball...just a hard runner, stays low, and he breaks through arm tackles (Gauntlet anyone?). I think Cam should be our #1, every down back. There was a question in the press conference why he got pulled before GA III's TD run. Kelly said in hindsight that Cam was the workhorse on that drive and should have earned the TD run, but they were switching players out in personnel groups which is why he came off the field. Cam was a little upset coming off the field, but was the first to congratulate George after the score.
Hendrix got an ovation when he reached the field late, which seemed a little odd. His performance, as limited as it was, was a little disappointing for me though. I'm certainly a supporter of Tommy, but I was also pulling for Hendrix to perform well as the #2. Signs were pointing that Hendrix really worked on getting down the little things in the off season and the light came on. I think he still lacks confidence though, he just doesn't seem comfortable out there.
Tommy was awesome, as expected. No turnovers, led the offense excellently, just a few overthrows today. I think he had a couple great deep passes though to dispel questions about his throwing.
I didn't get to study the offensive line much, mostly because we were putting in so many freshmen today (10 first time freshmen players!). Overall they did pretty well against some large bodies on Temple's DL. Run blocking could have been a little better.
Can't say anything one way or another about GA III. He didn't do anything poorly that I saw, but didn't have any large chunk plays like some of the other backs. I'm good with him being the #1 guy, but I think Cam may be better suited with Amir and George coming in for change of pace.
Freshmen WRs Robinson, Onwaulu played well, but seemed to be mostly blocking on running plays. Will Fuller made a couple mistakes I think, but he has potential.
Niklas is a beast! We kept waiting for a TE to get the ball, and he didn't disappoint a bit when he went to the house at the end of the 1st half. I love how a CB tried to bring him down, get real!

Defense:
I heard Justin Tuck tweeted to Tuitt at the half "Are you going to break my sack record or not? It's time to break it." I like that. Tuitt only ended up with one sack, but he looked good out there and got some hits on the QB all game. Just missed a couple more sacks probably. Temple's QB was getting the ball out quickly all game, which contributed to the few sacks. He did take some punishment though and was a bit hobbled by the end. If I had one bad thing to say about Tuitt is the fact he over pursued a few times and their QB cut up the field in his gap as a result.
Nix was getting double teamed all game, as expected, but he hustled. Fear Irish Chocolate. He nearly chased down the QB when he took off on a run  He was sucking wind afterwards and came off for a breather.
Grace, Fox, and Calabrese were leading in tackles at the half, but I don't think they played very well. BK mentioned this in the post game too I think. We were open over the middle quite a bit in the first half, I think we improved on this in the second half. I liked what I saw from Grace when he was in.
Not a lot to say about the rest of the defense really. Day looked good I thought. Secondary was decent, didn't give up the big play. Jaylen Smith was flying around. Kelly said he played as expected: like a freshman. He needed some help getting into position, but nothing terrible and he was great playing in space. He's glad he's on our team.

Pls tell me you were kidding.

And why are people still posting in this thread, we should only be focusing on U of M

I know who Skylar Diggins is, but is she Daniel Smith's gf? I've never heard that they were an item, didn't make sense to me. I was kinda hoping she was single  Seems kind of odd thing for a Temple player to say nevertheless.

I read somewhere a few weeks ago or so that they were together. Thats the only reason I knew. I'm usually last to get things so I figured everyone else must have known. Lol

They both grew up in South Bend and both play(ed) varsity sports for Notre Dame. So, there is some reasonableness to how they could get together.

Well, that makes sense then. I honestly didn't know them were an item. Still kind of funny that a Temple guy would ask something like that during a live game

Tread lightly, my friends. My father was a Ram, class of '38. He later got an MBA from Columbia. "Cupcakes" today, I know, but that wasn't always the case.
