Extremely disheartening to see the defense not just give up a score before halftime, but allow Miami to take up the entire last 5 minutes of the half to do it.

Still way more concerned about the O though. I suspect that was statistically a fine defensive half.

Donovan Hinish is getting exposed. Him and Knapp look like the same person but on other side of the ball.

He is undersized and, unfortunately, appears to be playing to that size right now. I’d be more ok with it if it appeared he had a speed/quickness advantage that we were able to utilize at times but that is not there either. Certainly something to track through second half and into next week

I don't want to downplay Beck even though I hate him, he is playing well. But, there are some exaggerations going on. Both of his TD passes were classic Beck bad throws that lead to interceptions he has gotten bailed out a couple of times. He wants to throw some picks, we just have to take advantage.

I have been so busy at work with a new Computer system and some staff leaving that I let ND football be my relief away from the stress.

And I really believe that Freeman is a game changer. He can make these guys believe in theirselves like no other can.
