That 1st half of football was the most fun and efficient offensive effort I've seen since...I can't even remember when.

Defense looked a little better, which I think is the best we can ask for each week.

Anyone who thinks ND doesn't get in at 10-2 is smoking the good stuff. The question will be do we get a 1st round home game or not, not will we be in or out.

A little? I thought they were leaps and bounds better. The last 6 quarters have been encouraging. Basically everyone, including me, thought Arkansas was a lock to score 30

Are they back to Golden levels of defense? Of course not. But I thought it was a huge step in the right direction.

Attended game. Nice contingent of Irish fans. Friendly environment.
Arkansas fans never got into the game; massive fan exodus in 3rd quarter.
Still a lot of wide open receivers, and little pressure.
Surprised we didn't run more, but passing was there all game.
Didn't notice any ND injuries.
Did we even punt?
Hope we keep momentum going forward. Will be attending SC game.

I was there too. The Arkansas fans I encountered were all quite gracious. Beautiful game day weather as well.

I can’t get over how great the offensive line was. They were fantastic yesterday. Arkansas obviously had a maligned defense, but if they had a strength, it was their DL and we completely neutralized their best pass rusher, Rhodes.

Hopefully the ascent continues.

There are no words to describe the Love and Price combo.
It is so ridiculous and I am hoping that once they both go pro, which they will, that this isn't a key factor in Carr's success. Outside of probably Miami, I don't think there is a team in the country that has any idea on how to play this offense. The second they start creeping bodies towards the line of scrimmage to better defend the run, they're getting torched by the pass game. I would like a rematch against Miami at some point because by then I do think our offensive line will be better equipped to handle their passing attack (better cohesion, no rain, no insane humidity, now trusting the QB).

Arkansas had the 385 DL that was getting mauled by Lambert who probably weighs 50lbs less than him.

Losing to A&M is what really fucked us. They're not that good, but they could go 10-2 with the schedule they have, in which case they get in before us. Hell they could go 9-3 and it would become an interesting conversation.

It'd also be interesting to see what happens if there's a team at 10-3 with the third loss being a conference title game. Last year those losses basically didn't count against teams.
We are VERY lucky that A&M does not play Georgia, Bama, or Ole Miss. They will probably be favored in all but two of their games left. We just need them to be 10-2 and an obvious top 4 team in the SEC. Big 10 and SEC will most likely get 4 in every year, then no bid thieves from the Big 12 or ACC.

I’ve felt insane over the years watching middling programs make offense look somewhat easy, and then sitting down for a nice, fun Irish game where it looks like their offense is running through quicksand

Watching CJ make throws to both sides of the field, on the run, deep, etc etc etc, has been a revelation

He truly is the prince who was promised. He’s everything we were told Wimbush, Jurkovec, and Buchner were supposed to be. Day one talent in the spring of ‘27
Don’t forget Sharpley!

I missed yall's game yesterday as I was dealing with the kids and watching the Ryder Cup. I did watch it though morning, though. A few postgame thoughts - not that you all care ...
  • Brian Kelly sucks
  • LSU sucks
  • CJ Carr is truly the real deal. I know Arkansas's defense isn't anything special, but his talent level is off the charts. I'd take him over most quarterbacks out there.
  • Love is a beast. He's so versatile...he is the closest player to Reggie Bush that I've seen in a while
  • Price continues to dominate. His ability to bounce it outside for a huge gain is incredible. Once he gets the corner, teams can't stop him.
  • Fields was a phenomenal pick up. He's a top WR. Faison played really well
  • It was awesome to see Greathouse get back in there. He made a hell of a catch on the sideline.
  • Y'all know I rave over Aneyas Williams. It was good to see him get in the endzone.
  • That fake punt was executed flawlessly. Kinda wonder why they burned it, but I assume they have other things in the works.
  • The defense, whatever they did over the week, worked very well. I believe I predicted something like 45-24 Notre Dame ... Notre Dame's defense really came to play. Whether that was Ash, Freeman, Mickens ... I don't know, but they need to be commended because I think Arkansas has a really good offense. If Notre Dame's defense is capable of playing to that level, consistently, they'll win out and rightfully get into the CFP.
  • That's a big win. You guys did Sam Pittman dirty, though. That man didn't deserve that.
Are you from Europe? How could you sit thru that embarrassing US beatdown on our soil?! Just terrible. Scottie 0-4?! Most American golfers just don’t know how to play as a team. No chemistry for the US. Haven’t looked at who else has choked but I know the big talker Chambau is one of them.

I have been watching football religiously for over three decades, and I've only seen a backfield like this a few times. Reggie and White come to mind and so does McFadden and Felix, Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown. But I'd take Love and Price over all of them.

1. Nice turnout by Irish fans, Drake Field was noticeably more crowded with jets so good job by you.

2. First time I sat in the stands at the stadium in a long time and I was pretty disappointed, Arkansas definitely not keeping up with the Joneses, so not surprising Yurachek is poor mouthing everywhere he goes.

3. On to the game itself! Notre Dame was noticeably more athletic, just a really well put together group of dudes.

4. If Carr can spin it light like that to all depths, good gracious this team will be nasty for a while.

5. I actually thought the WRs looked very good as a group, the only piece I would like is one more TE that can really stretch that thang out. Though Ty Washington did absolutely murder a guy one time and is gonna have to lay low for a while. Champagne problems.

6. Defense is getting its groove back. Still some confusion in coverages but nothing fatal to a really good offense/QB which I find to be encouraging? Refreshing? Arousing? Adon Shuler was everywhere, what a monster.

7. Not really much to say about the offense. Everybody better protect thy anus.
