Stop with the "oh noes we're 10-2! We won't get in!" nonsense. If we go 10-2 winning 10 straight and losing by 4 to teams that spent time in the Top 10 (phrased with the caveat in mind that even at the end of the season maybe one or both aren't) there is 0% chance we aren't in the playoff having made the championship game last year under similar circumstances.

Some of you really need a diaper change.
I basically agree. Given the timing of the losses, the point differerentials, the fact that they came, at worst, to two pretty decent teams, and more, I put it around 1% that 10-2 ND gets excluded.

Every year, the entire sport’s fan/media complex spends October and the first half of November debating playoff scenarios as if every team will win all the games they’re supposed to, and that never ever ever happens, because college football.

If we’re the team that wins every game we’re supposed to, we will be just fine.

If this team wins out in dominant fashion they’re in. Money talks. If you told me the reason we lost two games was our defense and not our first year starting qb I wouldn’t have believed you. The way we played that 4th and 9, more of that please.

10-2 ND doesn’t get left out.

Too many storylines and too many eyeballs for the playoff to pass up.

ND as your TWELVE seed, drawing a game more watched than any other first round game?? They aren’t getting left out.

The rest of college football internet might melt, but the powerbrokers aren’t stupid.

OSU got a home game at 10-2.
Let's see how the season plays out. I'm expecting a lot of losses for everyone.

Look, I’m drinking Sam Adams OctoberFest and I’ve got an unopened 1.75L bottle of Basil Hayden about to be cracked. Trying to keep it real.
Try the Blue Point Oktoberfest. Brewery right down the block, it’s really good.

I could easily see SEC getting 5 teams in maybe 6. Bama, Georgia, TAM, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss.
Easily 3 from Big: Penn, Oregon, OSU maybe Michigan.
Then Miami, Big12 winner.
It isnt going to be easy. Need big upsets like last season.
