ND and A&M make no sense.

The #7 team beat the #20 team by 10 points. So, the winner jumps up 2 spots, and the loser drops 6?

Stupid.

If ND goes 12-0, they get the #5 spot. Strength of schedule is meaningless anymore. Michigan played an easy schedule last year, no one is complaining.
While I do agree we would/should be the 5th seed. I'd rather have a few ranked wins under our belt than not.
That 5th seed will be hotly sought after. Both the B1G/SEC will lobby hard for their runner up to get that spot, especially if the loser was undefeated going into that game.
The more ranked wins ND has the better their position will be. If both GT and Louisville stumble and ND only has SC at the end of the year, I can totally see the committee giving ND the 6th with the excuse the B1G/SEC runner up had a harder path.

I don't know if I've ever seen a Top 10 team get completely dropped out of the Top 25 and not even receive 1 vote. Epic.

Honest question, where would you have them? Doesn’t seem that out of line to me.

They were #20 and lost to #7 by 10. Why would that outcome not be expected? They should basically not move. I'd have A&M at 20 still.

I don't really buy ND at 5, either. I'd move them to 6 (due to Oregon struggling) or not at all.

That said, all this stuff will work itself out. It's the 1st in-season poll. How these folks vote often just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Because Michigan finished the season with a win against the #2 team, and had a win over a top 12 team along the way.

Our schedule doesn’t look like there will be any top 15 wins at the end of the season.

Regardless, win and get in. You can’t choose who you play once the ink dries.

Illinois and Mizzou still being ranked is hilarious. Two genuinely terrible teams.

The difference between #8 (1000 pts) and #13 (952) is only 48 points. Wow.

There's a bigger gap from #7 to #8 than there is 8 to 13.
