I was thinking more along the lines of blow up their cisterns or something like that, but we can try it your way.
Lol

So Rick and Co. are going to somehow get the women to side with them for their guns that in the end kill Negan and crew. Predictable.
At the end of this episode, my wife actually said, "WTF was that?!?"
I think they are making a huge mistake not capitalizing on the emotion and tension of the season premiere episode and having so many "setup" episodes.
On a sidenote, I know this is entertainment and you have to suspend a great deal of practicality, but it drives me nuts they don't address some of the really important survival aspects like water. The quest for fresh potable water would arguably dominate over many other needs. I assumed the Oceanside community was on an island or peninsula surrounded my salt water, but seemingly had no issue with having drinking water. Just gripe I have had with the show.
Because I am a huge pedant I apologize up front. Oceanside is very typical of the Low Country between a Charleston to Jacksonville . There is lots of brackish water around and the environment they showed can be found miles inland, and well water can be obtained at relatively shallow depths even close to the ocean or barrier islands. That being said, what drives me crazy is that they are supposed to be in Virginia yes..? That whole episode was quite clearly filmed on Georgia's coast probably south of Tybee to Brunswick. That's what pissed me off. Lol
Favorite episode of the season. I like how it went to a lot of storylines instead of focusing on one the entire show. JDM shows some sincerity followed up with typical Negan (conversation with Olivia & Carl)
I know Carl is just a kid but i hate how he is just so thickheaded. All in all, great episode.
Anxious to see the journey for Rick in the boat across the pond and what will happen in Alexandria with Negan...winter finale - somethings gotta happen. I have my hunch on one homicide.
I think either Alanna or Spencer dies next week. My guess is Spencer tries to play too nice with Negan and he gets offed.
Then again Alanna is now the hottest woman on the show and that is always the kiss of death.
I don't think Alanna has passed up Rosita yet. In somewhat related news, did anyone see that stuff about fans fat shamming Alanna from last week's episode? Lady just had a kid, ridiculous. Internet trolls need to die.
There will be blood next week, I'm sure.
I totally mixed up Alanna and Rosita's names. I meant Rosita or Spencer dies. Rosita is definitely the hottest.
She's not bad either though. Quite rude.
Don't worry, I am definitely an Alanna fan haha.
1) Rosita
2) The new chick from the Saviors
3) Michonne
4) Alanna
5) Maggie?

Much better episode. I still need something else though. I just feel like this season is lacking.
My wife and I were talking about this while watching this last episode. It just seems like they put so much in the season premiere episode and I am sure the mid season finale will be big, but the episodes in between have all seemed like set up episodes. They really had an opportunity to ramp the emotion up to "11" all season and they didn't do it. I've said it before when you look at a great show like Breaking Bad, every single episode could stand on its own. They still set up future story lines, but they didn't disrupt the overall flow of the show. TWD just can't seem to achieve that for me. It seems like they have to stop, go tell another segment of a tangent story and then come back to the main part of the show.
I am still a big TWD fan, but I find myself watching every episode waiting for something to happen and then it never does.

I've never watched Breaking Bad (although it's next on the list of binge watching on Netflix) but i'm guessing it may not be as broad as TWD. TWD remind me of GoT. It has tons of actors and storylines. So opposed to GoT, which can go without showing a character for a whole season, they keep you updated with an episode or so. It can be lame but i get the point.
My assumption is that the in between episodes of episode 1 and the last one is setting the stage. Well not the stage has been set. Winter finale will kick off the adrenaline for the rest of the season.

They've got too many main cast members. Too many stories to tell/setup. There needs to be more blood.
TWD universe is infinitely smaller than the GoT universe. TWD has maybe 15-20 characters per season that people would recognize while GoT is probably closer to 50. Obviously GoT has the benefit of 20 extra minutes per episode but I never wonder what the main characters are doing. TWD makes me constantly wonder why the hell an episode is devoted to completely inconsequential characters.
The bottom line is TWD will feature random characters so that viewers will actually feel shocked/sad when these random characters die. These characters don't have any relevance to the overall plot so the episodes themselves feel wasted.
Every season is just a buildup to a big death. 2-3 great episodes that make you want to keep watching and then a bunch of fillers. Starting to get really frustrating.
Popping in and ignoring spoilers: We just started Season 4 on Netflix. Is Fear the Walking Dead worth watching and, if so, when? Can I fully catch up on The Walking Dead then watch FTWD afterwards or should I view the seasons in broadcast order.
